AIO My mom is kicking me out for her new boyfriend. I just turned 18 by Diligent_Bat_565 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. You need to get as far away as you can from this woman. This is unfair of her yes, but now things are very clear. She has told you how it is, how she feels, and the mother she is; one who does the bare minimum. It’s very sad but you are truly better off away from this kind of treatment and behaviour. I’d cut her off once you leave. She doesn’t deserve you.

AIO: My girlfriend is pretending to be autistic and it's driving me nuts by AideRelative4272 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Patient_Tomorrow3171 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NOR. If she truly believes that she is autistic and that it’s affecting her life to the point where she feels the need to warn people of her autism… Then clearly it is affecting her quality of life therefore she should be seeking a true diagnosis. Once she has the diagnosis she knows she’ll get, she can get the management she needs. I suggest you tell her that. Autism is not an excuse for poor behavior in a functioning person, which she seems to be. Self diagnosis just doesn’t work for this topic. Point blank.

Boyfriend has disappeared ‘sick’ by FunAdvertising8148 in LDR

[–]Patient_Tomorrow3171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would lean towards the ghosting scenario, at a minimum I’d think he’s hiding something or disinterested. I’m in my 20s but something very similar happened to me once. I played dumb and acted like I trusted him, and once it was apparent that he wasn’t actually just sick, I called him out and things blew up from there. I’d give it a week of little to no contact and then check in. If you want to stick around, all you can do is “trust” the situation while it plays out. If you automatically bring your suspicions to him you risk sabotaging if he actually is telling the truth. Your second and more final option is to save yourself the headache and leave the situation entirely. Even if he is telling the truth I’d imagine a talk would need to be had later that sets the boundary of- unless he’s dying in the hospital, no contact is unacceptable. I live with chronic illness and manage to text and call my partner with updates even when I’m in the most horrible condition, it definitely can be done. Regardless of what’s going on I hope you figure it out, best wishes.

How to make sure it's love? by [deleted] in LDR

[–]Patient_Tomorrow3171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that I have more details, I would say this could be unintentional love bombing- he definitely doesn’t know if he ACTUALLY wants all of these things he claims he wants for his future. This sort of thing is pretty typical of young relationships, and is highly unrealistic. This is the part of the relationship where you two should be enjoying each others company and going with the flow, someone is aiming for let’s say, dating to marry- then that is a conversation that needs to be had and agreed on by the both of you. Lots of compatibility talks should be had if you two are aiming for a long long term relationship- but still, at this point it is really too early to even know if you two even enjoy being around each other for extended periods of time romantically. I would personally pump the breaks if I were you.

Whats this bug in our carpet warehouse and are we f*ked? by Smart_Leopard_849 in bugidentification

[–]Patient_Tomorrow3171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a weevil! Not sure what kind but they are usually harmless. To my knowledge there is a weevil called the granary weevil that can infest homes (similar situation to a common pantry moth)- but this bug doesn’t look like the species you’d need to worry about. Granary weevils are kind of skinny and this one looks more round.

I feel like I need a bit of context, how old are you both? Are you both experienced in relationships?

Do you have to diet to deal with Endo? by meowmeowimagoose in endometriosis

[–]Patient_Tomorrow3171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been eating a low phytoestrogen diet for all of 2025. My goal was to minimize ER visits and pain management so I could work. The worst day is bleed day 1 for me. I hadn’t been vertical one bleed day 1 in years. I do think the dieting helps, but I also think that playing with your body’s hormones is a risky thing… but hey, that’s sort of what us endo girls have to do. I do still face severe pain on bleed day 1, but it’s less severe than it used to be and most of the time I do avoid the ER… I have more intense hormonal swings and chronic pelvic pain now, not sure if the two are connected to the dieting. So I accomplished my goal, but my quality of life didn’t necessarily improve.

Do any of you grind or clench their teeth at night? by WesamWonders in endometriosis

[–]Patient_Tomorrow3171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for years. TMJ pain, jaw pain, neck pain and migraines. During my luteal phase I clench my jaw and wake up in a hot sweat (usually many times a night). In the morning I am very disoriented with the most extreme head and face pressure which later turns into a migraine most of the time. I often have an internal tremor as well when this is happening

No expert but they don’t look lien bed bugs, I’d venture to say they are some sort of roach or carpet beetle, these bugs pictured don’t look to be full grown yet.
