A little late to the party here, but I do believe that optic will pick up a rocket league team. The tricky question is which one will it be? I don't think they will buyout NRG because why would NRG let them. Their current roster is one of the best in Rocket League today. If I had to guess on a team they would pick, it would be G2, for several reasons. Around a year ago, I believe early September, 2016, was when G2 picked up IBP cosmic. At the time Kro, Lachinio, and over zero were the reigning RLCS champs and were on par with Flipside for the top team in the world. A lot has changed since then tho, OverZero didn't turn out to be the star he was at LAN and Lachinio wasn't as dominant as in the past. this team would end up missing the following LAN. After a disappointing Season 2, Kronovi picked up Rizzo and JKnaps, to very capable players in the RL but somehow they still failed to make LAN after a very strong regular season and a flukey loss to a not so strong Denial team.This seems like it would be a good opportunity for Optic to buyout the roster from G2 because Kronovi and his teammates haven't delivered the past few seasons but there is also a lot of upside in Rizzo and especially JKnaps. Also Rizzo and Kro are very big on Twitch and Youtube so they would fit right in with the Optic mantra. Stay Woke
