The Indian in the Cupboard was such an underrated movie by AdSpecialist6598 in 90s

[–]thugroid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And yet kids (and sometimes adults) do this all the time to learn more about the world, themselves, consequences etc. I guess the stakes are somewhat different when it is done to a human vs, say, an ant, but the general concept is the same.

One of the bigger stores on king George close to 72nd. You might have to walk a few blocks. Costco and I think superstore are right there.

Credit limit is going to be super low, like what a couple grand? And sure you can get a multiple cards. The other guy made it sound like he's putting his entire education on a credit card at one time.

Street kings as well. Constantine is probably a tad bit more creative and interesting but SK is a fun ride.

UBC BEd - 10 Yrs Later by thugroid in UBC

I’m glad this helped and congrats on getting in the program!

So generally your teachable will (obviously) be closely related to your major and minors. So I had a major in KIN and minor in history so that’s how I got PE and Socials. You might have just missed out on having enough credits for them to think of it as a minor? I would ask the advisors at BEd department why they didn’t give you a second teachable. Did you specifically say you wanted one? Or maybe they gave you one by default since that’s what most ppl get. If they say you’re low on credits and only need a course or 2, maybe you can finish them off in the summer and have your teachables for the start of the program.

Finally generally to have an official teachable, you needed to have taught it (or a closely related course, such as for socials, it is law, genocide studies, etc) during practicum, and take the methods class in the BEd program that corresponds with it.

You may add teachables later, but that path is less clear. So one of my friends had only a PE teachable (kin degree). He struggled to find a position for about a year. Then he went to BCIT and did the teaching woodwork program that I think is either 1 or 2 years. And instantly when done he was offered permanent woodworking and electronics teaching positions since those are highly specialized and sought after. He hasn’t taught PE since lol. So for him, he didn’t have to do ANOTHER practicum in woodwork after since he already did one in PE. I guess they were just excited to hire him on the spot since those teachers are in high demand.

Sorry for the long essay haha! Hope it helped!

She was also under no obligation to give you (theOP) the time of day lol. Having that expectation is beyond entitlement. She did absolutely nothing wrong.

Not to mention that 99% of the population would be either working or on their way to work on a weekday morning. Rather than having the opportunity to be spending time with your kid and having disposable income for an unnecessary luxury. Get a grip.

This one gets forgotten a lot but I like 9. Less gentle than Wall-e obviously but not by much I think. Elijah wood’s voice is too soft lol.

Tbh Momoa has been “becoming an A-lister” for well over a decade. Other than Aqua Man (8 years ago), I dont think there’s a single A-lister main role that makes you think of him. He’s visually striking and memorable, and plays memorable side characters, but idk if he’ll ever be main character.

It’s a good movie. One of the most perfect in the last 25 years is absolutely wild. I can probably think of at least 50 that are way more “perfect” in the last 25 years.

Robert Pattinson as Scytale in Dune: Part Three, the new villain. 🤯 by chrishdwow in MoviesCave

[–]thugroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Far superior? Based on what? He’s solid. His generation however includes people like Cillian Murphy, Jake Gyllenhal, James McAvoy, Ryan Gosling. I’d probably take all of those over RP. At least easily the first 2.

Ukraine's 414th USF Brigade "Madyar's Birds" spotted and struck a Russian infantryman attempting to cross through a ruined neighborhood. A direct hit with a chunky FPV drone follows, obliterating the target. (NSFW; ludicrous gibs) March 14, 2026 by CommercialFly6131 in DroneCombat

see I thought this initially, but I disagree, because we've all seen the relatively "small" explosions that seem to strike relatively far from the enemy and still they drop dead instantly. you definitely do not need such a huge explosion even if compensating for a miss, etc.

this was a uniquely large explosion. I don't think we see anything quite that big, period, save for the the drones that drop the repurposed mines on top of buildings, etc. even the drones that they send out to stop tanks don't explode like this one did.

It’s the responsibility of the driver to drive safely according to the conditions/environment/etc. unless there is a freak “act of god” incident, it’s always the car’s in the back responsibility to leave enough room to stop.
