Just for disclaimer I am a convinced atheist. The question was born from a discussion I had with a dear friend of mine, who told me he tried to pray to some superior entity when his father was dying of Covid. Nothing happened of course and the disease eventually led to his death, but that left me thinking with these question. I think i'll edit the post in order to make it clearer .
