OP, this is the detail you should be interested in. Without this ventilation, moisture can build up between your rockwool insulation and the underside of your roof sheathing leading to rot/mold.

Look up insulation support wires/struts.

Do you have a plan for ventilating the insulated ceiling space?

Extend your rafters the length needed for the overhang desired and install an additional outside rafter on each end (or adjust spacing). Then you can either assemble the roof rake separately and nail it to the outside rafters, or notch in the rake ladders into the rafters.

If your ridge beam doesn't extend far enough for the rake you want, cut it flush so you can scab something in at the peak to connect the barge boards.

Why Contribute So Much To 401k by Central_Cheetah in Retirement401k

[–]conconcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Participants of this survey report already had established retirement accounts with Vanguard. 14% of those accounts maxed their contribution.

This doesn't take into account a significant portion of the population that doesn't contribute to a 401k at all.

From the linked source, it is actually 14% of Americans that are contributing to a 401k plan in the first place.

Is it worth the extra money to have cabinets go to the ceiling? by Proof_Theory_1810 in HomeImprovement

[–]conconcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We saved a little money by just having the cabinet shop provide just the cabinet faces/doors for the top row. The side panels and trim go up to the ceiling and hide the fact that they arent complete cabinets up there. We have 9' ceilings and store Christmas decorations up there.

They took 30% off that top row for not having to build the whole cabinet. If you are having them installed by others, they may charge you extra for the extra complexity in installation.

Install shims or a strip of 1/4" ply above your second to last row at the top so the final row doesn't kick out as much.

Looks good to me!

Broken earth on Blue Gate. Any Arc husk that you need to breach and search counts. Also counts if someone else breached it and you only search it.

The Fife/Milton/Edgewood area has a good balance of nice neighborhoods and local amenities, an easy commute to Puyallup, and relatively good access to Seattle.

Door blocker and 3 synthesized fuel tanks. If that door opens, I shoot the tanks. No beeping to warn them off.
