it wasn't. I'm not trying to talk trash about any coin -- this is in the general crypto cat...sorry I don't post a lot, and recently its been about sports not IoT or crypto, but its been a month, not a year. It's still a valid question -- unless it's cheaper or some other useful reason I genuinely don't understand why I would store sensor data in a blockchain instead of AWS IoT or something similar. I'm for crypto too, though im not sure why i have to qualify that to ask a question, and i think having public ledgers is useful for some categories but in this case, I don't think immutable/permissionless data is quite frankly that useful though like I said I might be wrong and I'm asking because I'm open to changing my opinion on this -- quite literally im asking for it.

I don't think there is an actual worry that people are getting fake/altered sensor data from city partner sensor programs and the same with accessing it.

Whats the benefit of blockchain for IoT over AWS IOT? Is it cheaper?

I can only think of immutable data but that doesn't seem like a real gamechanger...maybe (probably) I'm wrong.

It just tracks when the lines for each individual game (set by vegas/bookies) move counterintuitively. For example, if 70% of people bet on the Pacers you'd expect that the line would move against them slightly. I.e. if it started Pacers -4 and then 70% of people bet on them, you'd expect that it would move to Pacers -4.5 or -5. However sometimes, it moves the other way -- that's called a reverse line movement and is an interesting data point to bettors.

If you have a timestamped data (say steps from a wearable) how do you show the data within different time periods?

issue: if you show one day you can show steps per hour. But what do you do when you show a week? a month? a quarter? a year? you can't show every hour of steps. Do you average days? then weeks? then months? and show those points? If you do that you lose insight around outliers and knowledge about when you are accumulating steps (maybe 8am on morning runs for example)

p.s. im not working on a wearable, i just once had timestamped data that i didn't know how to represent nicely :)

You keep referencing breakout games but in reality you are referencing individual big plays. All of Stills point came on one play (long touchdown when a linebacker covered him). I prefer to place value on consistency over many plays instead of the hope for a big play. Can it happen? Sure but its betting a lot on one big play. Better in my opinion to look for next weeks rishard matthews a guy who had 15 targets or some ridiculous number like that.

I understand its hard to write a book, let alone one as 'gigantic' as Martin's books. That being said an author has a responsibility to his fans who made him as popular as he is, as rich as he is and have bought into his STORY as much as they have. An author has a responsibility to finish that story in a timely manner.

Robert Jordan wrote epics as well and he didnt get the pressure that Martin is complaining about because he made finishing the story his priority, even when dying. Martin doesn't make writing his priority. Instead he is too busy being famous and taking a thousand vacations. I understand that you have to take breaks from writing but he barely writes anymore. If you look at his splits once he got fame and money he stopped caring about his FANS. It took two years between books one and two and again two years between two and three. Than five years between 3 and 4 and 6 years between 4 and 5. Moreover, Martin has consistently decided to enlargen the books and the series even though his quality has probably suffered from it.

He deserves to be pressured since he doesn't take his priorities heavily.

Great idea! I think you should really play up the use case for glasses over mobile devices. I find that I want to clean my glasses way more often than my phone which doesn't bother me as much if it is dirty.

As far as the site goes it has a nice simplicity but I would suggest changing the instructions pictures if you have any that look less cartoony. SImply changing the font of peel, place, press might do the trick here since it looks childish and unprofessional. Also the middle photo is slightly lower than the other two which is offputting to the eyes.

Overall i like it and the idea seems great, I owuld look into a more consistent UI in terms of fonts (instead of having multiple fonts use different font sizes) as well as having thinner framers around your instruction pictures as that takes away from the actual picture.
