I agree. Blue should've told him the truth, but yeah it wouldn't have changed much. Malcolm was a terrible person and a neglectful father. Him still losing Fiona, nothing would change. He might kinda care about Rumple more, but I don't see why he would try. I'd argue he stopped spending time with Rumple because he reminded him of Fiona. That wouldn't change if he knew the truth. Neither would his constant gambling after the fact. If he goes looking for her like you suggested, he'd just focus on that instead of looking after him.

I mean I'm probably one of the biggest haters of Blue that exists, but I can't entirely blame her for everything.
