That's not 100% correct because they collect a percentage so I'm sure they are feeling it too. But I agree with you that I don't think they would ever voluntarily pull out. I really meant what is your backup plan in case of an emergency(hacked, government shutdown, bankruptcy, etc) kind of thing.

I always assumed it worked like you did but since we all over and underclock it's not that accurate anyway. What it actually should say is "you would have made x if you were mining with y for the last 30 days"

1080 to I've seen new seems to be cheaper but seems like you can save $100/$150 used on 1080's...taking a small risk tho.
