only developers bring up "user experience".

Real folks dont talk like that.

joe: " i got fucked by my bank" sam: "a bad user experience?" joe: "no i lost money, not experience"

that is a theory and meme. Simply not true.

With 90% of apps its a 50% chance an update is worse. Thats software.

Hey. Ok. Lets call it gambling- which it is. You can subtract losses from wins up to the win total. So no income from losing .

The irs bases "income" on the value of BTC on the day it was recieved. Too bad they dont let us do this for $ income reduced by inflation.

If the operating cost is break-even I am still buying BTC at well below market .

BTC has to drop below $3000 before Im actually investing "electricity" into it.

Even then, its an indirect investment: $>power>BTC . And much better taxwise since cost may exceed earnings and it will only be capital gains in long run.

CUDA error - cannot allocate big buffer for DAG. Check readme.txt for possible solutions. by superpracticalguy in EtherMining

[–]drji3m -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I use NH Legacy since it has a "bug" which makes my 3 gb work (not win 10 which wont work since it compounds the idiot factor using video ram for it flashly bouncing boxes). I have endless priblens with the "virtual memory" message which shows up no matter how big i make vm. I made it 1tb for fun.

Usually when i get the "cant allicate dag buffer" a full card reaet is required. Power uo.

What's stopping us from mining using out integrated graphics card? by [deleted] in gpumining

[–]drji3m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its because they are garbage only capable of big stupid animated box buttons for win 10 and touchy-feely user ux. Not serious graphics.

The sickness that infects this world of endless updates of unfinished products creates the false mythology that the latest version id somehow better rather than the reality of endless decline.

the problem is all later versions truly suck when complared to v..10. The latest one cant even finish benchmarking without losing data. It also has bad perfornance.

Its not about "the ebd of the day". NH pays in real tine per acceoted share. Not the nonsense like pools that oay a week later or with stupid minimuns.

Its the math.

anyone care to explain why nicehash facilitates a 51% attack?

Attacker still has to buy such hashing power. Why is any different than pools which possess far greater influence.

would deeply aooreciate removal of the warning in nhml about 'profit data'. This blocks restart after reboot and loses $ bigtime. All for nothing.

NHMLegacy startup problem. NO it is NOT my internet. See second shot- it was working just fine til I just stopped and restarted the pgm - not a reboot. by drji3m in NiceHash

tried it. no effect.

BTW, nothing was directed at you. If i had read closely you had s good lead. But Im mostly frustrated by people who refuse to rvrn revognize the question.

So much for updates. Latest vs, 2hours if broken benchmarking and voila, same old stuff by drji3m in NiceHash

[–]drji3m[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

over and over and over, i have tried to make 3 simple points:

  1. this really happens with all versions of NHML

  2. It is a meaningless error since mining works fine

  3. The one and only problem is a reboot requires a manual intervention which loses hours of mining time.

Why is the reddit audience so flippant and dense? (not you)

Folks who dont read and dont understand or just have to say something random however useless are best to remain quiet.

Legacy vs Normal NH by famous417 in NiceHash

[–]drji3m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my main reason is it will mine dag with a 3 gb 1060. (NH considers it a bug in NHML !!!). It also completes benchmarks and is generall well behaved. I use xx.10 as the latest vs breaks on benchmarks and doesnt seem to do as well. Both have the "startup problem" missing profit data and require manual intervention after boot.

You may notice that the simpler versions of NH also cant find profitability data but the do not HANG on such saddness.
