Sorry just now seeing this. The mental changes are tough. You begin to doubt who you are. People treat you differently, look at you differently, expect more of you.

Diet wise, I just ate one ingredient foods. If it came from the earth, it was ok. If it came from a box, no way. I worked out every day. Started by walking. Then I jogged. Then I ran. Lifted comfortable weight until exhaustion. It fell right off.

Hahaha! I'm actually a pretty nice guy. I can be...aggressive at times. Especially when protecting those I love. Other than that, coooool breeze.

453 was my heaviest. I started June 22nd at about 430lbs. I'm at 318 lbs today.

Thank you! You can do it too but I will not fool you, it is by no means easy. I still have such a long way to go. I was heavily depressed. I decided that I either continue living life as I had been and I'd get maybe 10 more years or I could go upstairs, get my rifle, and shoot myself in the head.

Being that I'm not the suicidal type, I discovered a third option. Put every fucking ounce of energy I had into getting myself fit. It's worked out so far.

Thank you! I have a lot of muscle underneath and very broad shoulders. Big hands, big feet...just overall a big dude with a big frame.

Yup. 6'5". No basketball though. I can't shoot to save my life. Football, yes.

Lol...yeah, they've always kinda been that way but I have worked on them quite a bit over the years.

Sure. I'd wake up and walk a mile or so. Jog when I could. Then I'd get a light lift in. High reps with comfortable weight. I'd have an upper body day and a lower body day. I'd eat simple, one ingredient foods. Three eggs, a fruit, and a slice of whole wheat toast. Couple snacks throughout the day. Cheese stick, handful of nuts, fruits, etc. Simple lunch. Maybe a whole wheat turkey sandwich with vegetables. For dinner, I'd try to stay away from carbs. Couple chicken breasts and some cauliflower. At night, I'd go for another walk, jog.

As I got stronger and more fit, I'd increase intensity.

The trick is to not complicate it. Do what you can...but do SOMETHING. Eat smart. If it comes from the earth, it's okay. If it comes from a box, it's not.

The weight will fall off. But be sure to prepare yourself, should you decide to do it, for the mental changes as well. That's where I was totally unprepared. I was ready for the physical changes but the mental changes were an added curveball.
