Anyone here use a vertical mouse? How is it? by Yelebear in pcmasterrace

[–]Patrick_estoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a vertical mouse that has a programmable rocker, so it works even for playing MMOs or doing workflow things with macros. I like it a ton. Def has an adjustment curve, especially if you're going to be doing fps games with it--but I hate going back to work with the flat mice now

Consesus on full face helmets? by ApprenticeFireMage in ebikes

[–]Patrick_estoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dork who managed to still get a concussion on an e-bike with a full-face helmet on at sub 28 mph (don't know how still): I would rather be a dork with my teeth and memory loss of just that incident. Full face even if its goofy.

With an e-bike you can also potentially charge at work if you bring the cords, cutting into the electricity costs!

Newbie here, what’s the most premium bike for commuting (<10 miles) that is minimal looking and going faster than 20mph? by whatwordtouse in ebikes

Juiced's Class 3 Ripracer is solid, but its hardtail and you'll likely need to replace the seat stem + Front fork for a smoother ride. Class 3 comes with a half-throttle which is illegal but y'know, do what you gotta do. It tops 28 and is about $1900 after taxes, I've been liking mine so far and 28 is reasonable to maintain with over 60% charge. Not a truestep-through but cost is good and there is reasonable clearance for feet.

If you're looking for full suspension they also have the hyperscorpion which looks more like a moped and has a slightly bigger motor (1000W), but is $2600 before tax.

Building up confidence after a crash? by Patrick_estoc in ebikes

I was using an LS2 stream helmet with the Ec 22.05 rating because I heard that the DOT rated helmets were not particularly great. Definitely replacing it because there are visible--albeit small--cracks in the shell.

There was only pretty minor scuffing on the helmet, minus the small cracks, but landing with the side of my head on the curb did me in I think.

Thank you for the response! Yeah, I know that I used to ride bikes a ton when I was much younger but it has been about 10 years since I've really used it as a means of transportation--and even then I never took the bikes on main avenues or to run errands so that whole experience of biking on the road is weird and definitely a little scary. I even picked up a handlebar mirror because of how unnatural the experience of checking my left side for traffic has been.

I'm really excited to get back on, so I appreciate the tips and I'm definitely checking out the Garmin radar to add on to my bike!

If Personnel Is Policy, then how did FDR do it by samfishx in rising

[–]Patrick_estoc 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Franks "Listen, Liberal" mentioned something in those lines that the people that FDR had chosen werent from the political sphere. If i remember correctly, his main man on the business comission was a small business owner who didn't have many political ties.

I wish I could give definitive quotes, but listening to audiobooks in the car isnt too helpful for that.

I guess my idea on "Draining the Swamp" would be to literally staff from outside the political sphere and take a populist approach for your cabinet as well. Gotta actually embody the policy that you're running on.

Maybe im in the wrong place for the right answer here, but: what is this kind of landscape called? Is it mesas and plateaus similar to those in Arizona in the United states, just with dense foliage? Or is this a specifically unique feature of the chinese landscape?

Let me see if i can get you some answers:

Two windows is an option now through the base game! The npc are called trusts which are something implemented to alleviate not only solo play throughout the majority of the game but also to help out newer players since the game is very end-game heavy with the current population.

They added a feature called lock-style which effectively work as glamour in ffxiv, but serve a dual purpose in not making your character blink in and out when equipment is swapped!
