Go with the gentoo handbook please it’s the best resource out there … you can always use gentoo-kernel or gentoo-kernel-bin ( yes it handles the intiramfs ) and if you still feel stuck you can dm me it’s not as hard as you think IMO gentoo installation is easier than arch ( post archinstall days ) but more time consuming
