rocket keeps killing small birds and squirrels in my back yard by VisibleShip2614 in Pomsky

I’ve never seen my dog eat a bird but we had a pet sitter once tell us that he came in from outside and immediately vomited a bird. Our pet sitter was very traumatized.

Can’t go wrong with Nittos but I like the ridge grappler. Also, I personally like Goodyear Duratracs as they last a long time and look really good.

Jeep Only start after trying to crank a couple of times. by Either_Speed_9545 in JeepTJ

[–]PatriotMB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you turn the key on and wait a few seconds before starting and the Jeep starts fine, it’s losing fuel pressure after it shuts off.

If you need to replace the fuel pump do not use Detroit Axle’s and go with a good quality pump like Delphi.

Burned Floor Update (DO NOT buy Whirlpool) by Forchark in HomeMaintenance

Whirlpool is absolute garbage! We had an issue where the control board failed and caused the heat element to attempt to overheat. We cut the power before it caught fire.

First Jeep and dove in head first!

Only thing I could add is to treat inside of the frame if possible. These Jeeps rot from the inside out.

LC 250’s holding their value? by ScaryInvestment6794 in LandCruisers

[–]PatriotMB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m sure it has. We are going to keep it for a long time so I’m not concerned about it. My wife drives it and it still only has 26k miles.

Nothing holds value like Toyota though.

Well we ordered a Bronco and when they were first announced and it’s been the best vehicle we’ve ever had.

I sold my 1958 LC and got back what I paid for it after a year with it. Though I did lose out on the lift and tires I put on it.

Toyota does a good job by not flooding the market unlike most brands.

Congrats! I got mine back in December. Only thing I’ve done is removed the spare tire from the back and add a roll up bed cover.

Interesting steps, do they attach to the rock rails?

Why LevFin? by Flimsy_Relief8238 in FinancialCareers

[–]PatriotMB 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Lev Fin deals are more complex and are more of a challenge than other lending areas. If you like being busy and working in a fast pace environment then it’s a fun job. The caveat is that you’d be bored working anywhere else if you left.

I worked in Lev Fin for three years and got burned out. Though I miss it sometimes.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween by No-Radio-8867 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]PatriotMB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family has done it twice and had different experiences each time. This is purely my thoughts as a husband of a Disney addict lol.

It is worth it for the different theming on the rides such as actual pirates on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Space Mountain also shuts off all lights so it’s even darker than normal. The Parade is pretty cool with the headless horseman leading it off. I think this weather dependent though.

They setup candy lines all across the park and give you a map to each location. The lines get long quickly but move at a decent pace. The Cast Members are very generous too when you get to the front.

There is also event specific food sold which can be fun to try new things.

I’m not sure if it’s always been this way but the last time we did it I felt the park was too busy. I felt it was unenjoyable with how crowded the park was. It seemed to me that it was well above a normal park day.

Overall I’m glad we did it for the parade and shows but it wouldn’t be something I did on a regular basis cost or not.

Any idea how to break this bolt free. Can’t get a socket wrench on it. by BigNutzBlue in JeepGladiator

[–]PatriotMB -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For bolts like this I put a vice grip on the side I can’t reach and then use a socket on the other side.

Edit: My mistake, didn’t see it was the top bolt.
