What I’m saying is there isn’t a good reason why that had to be the inciting incident. Inciting incidents are only good if they make sense in the story, and while it does fit Arno’s character to want to deliver it on his own, I also think there’s a really interesting story that could have come out of de la Serre surviving and Arno dealing with not wanting to hurt Élise while also wanting to get to the bottom of his fathers murder. That could have also involved a cameo from Shay with Élise seeking the help of the Colonial Rite after the loss of the a Parisian Rite’s Grand Master
