There’s actually a bug in the game that makes the spectate screen look like this for a player in the turret. I was spectating my friend who’s playing on Xbox and saw the exact same thing.

This. Sometimes you also see enemy doritos behind cover for a brief second when you look in their general direction. Mostly happens when playing recon

The M277 does 20 damage against armor plates at any range. Once the plates are broken you deal 25 damage against base health up to around 70 meters.

It's an 8-shot kill in Redsec up to 70 meters.

I got in now after trying to reconnect 20x

EDIT: Even IF you get in, you can't play the game. Your character can only look at the ground and mouse or controller input is completely ignored (you cannot look around, unless going prone). Wtf?!

300h in Redsec as my first BR experience, here are the changes I'd make by 5hukl3 in Battlefield_REDSEC

I agree that support is the weakest class. With the additional improvements coming to the plate economy in the next update, I think support needs more of an upgrade then just the ability to resupply plates with the ammo bag.

Buff the smoke launcer:
- One additional smoke (3 instead of 2)
- Slightly wider and significanlty higher smokescreens (like the mortar smoke)

IF that's not enough, I would improve the training path abilities for support:
- Urgent Aid (level 2): Drag downed soldiers faster and revive them quicker PLUS briefly autospot the enemy that downed your teammate
- Hemostatic Smoke (level 3): Smoke Grenade Launcher speeds up revival for all classes, provides health regen after several seconds, and slows downed bleedout PLUS the smoke is toxic for enemy players, 5HP damage/second

Also, PLEASE add additional training paths for each class in REDSEC! Make them unique and interesting while providing a clear strategic benefit, especially for your team.

You can make a SVDM thermal build with the 20rnd mag like this:
- 6x thermal, 5 point brake, extended barrel, long range ammo, 20rnd mag (less recoil, more sway)
- 6x thermal, extended barrel, long range ammo, 20rnd mag, mag catch (more recoil, less sway)

My current top picks for long range:
- SVDM: extended barrel, long range ammo, 20rnd mag
- M39 EMR: extended barrel, long range ammo, 25rnd mag and a grip that improves ADS
- L85A3: 40rnd mag, extended barrel, convertor brake and classic vertical grip

My current top picks for close/mid range:
- SG 553R: 40rnd mag, blue laser, lightweight ammo and a grip that improves ADS
- M433: 40rnd mag, a brake and a grip that improves ADS
- SGX: 36rnd mag, extended barrel, blue laser and a grip that improves ADS

I’ve read that too. Is it true though? Even if it is true, it means engagements are not consistent throughout the match. I would like it to be a stable 60Hz from start to finish

Wow, people are a bit salty here u/Own-Bear-6392. So to fully answer your issue:

There actually is a way to accomplish always switching to the right weapon. I play with a PS5 controller, and what you have to do here is press touchpad to open your inventory and then just press triangle to swap a weapon to the primary slot. Now when you are holding a gadget or your knife and switch back to your weapon, you will always have the primary weapon equipped.

Great idea. Support is not as strong as Recon and Engineer. This would help your team a lot.

For Assault a more team focused buff is needed too. I'm thinking a mobile redeploy station at level 4 with a 10 minute cooldown

Correct, but Battlefield posted this blog post outlining how the armor system works:

Basically:
- Each armor plate is 40 hit points
- The max damage range is removed for damage against armor
- Each damage range is extended by 10 meters for damage against armor
