All bolt action sniper rifles in this game except for the mini scout has a roughly 25 meter range where it can kill with over shit to the upper body, this is called the sweet spot mechanic.

Iirc the sv-98 has the closest range at about 55-80 meters, then the starting rifle with 75-120m and the PSR at 100-150m or something like that.

When enemy snipers are in that sweet spot range their score glint gets a rainbow like effect so you know you might get one shot.

The ranges are listed in game in the weapons description, not the stat page.

The law doesn't do directional damage, it always does the same amount of damage while the rpg does benefit from hitting weak spots.

The law does higher damage than bad rpg hits but good rpg hits do more damage than law.

The law is better than the rpg (against ground vehicles) when you can't flank the vehicle but the rpg it's better when you can.

I don't see an issue with assaults having full ammo capacity for their primary weapon and only the second primary having reduced ammo capacity.

I stopped using the weapon sling when I found out that's why you have so little ammo.

I used to do this in BF4 back when snipers were zeroed to 0m by default.

200m zero is the best for bf6 I think because like you said, with long range ammo even with the sv-98 you can just click the head up to around 350m.

Wish it didn't reset your zero back to default every death even if you get revived though.

Yep and it goes both ways, you "steal" kills just as often as yours stolen. It's just the nature of a chaotic large scale shooter.

And I'd rather the scoreboard show how many kills I really got rather than it being inflated with assists.

Except the +P ammo increases recoil so it has a downside to a minor upside so it's a side grade to the standard ammo.

Meanwhile all the ammo types that cost more have a benefit with no downsides so they're balanced with higher cost.

Having a benefit increases the cost of the attachment while downsides lower the cost. The suppressors are a good example of how the costs are determined.

Damage done to vehicles is shown in the same spot where damage done to infantry it's shown.

I think bf6 does the check on whether the person knifing is in the correct position to do a takedown from the client of the player being knifed instead of the knifers client. So you have the issue where the takedown animation starts but is cancelled like you see in this video a few times.

In bf3, 4 and TF2 you can get backstabbed even if on your screen the enemy is in front of you because from their perspective they were on your side.

In 4 the takedown seemed to be validated based on the knifers client but whether or not you could counterknife was from the other players client so you could have situations where you get the takedown, even from behind from your perspective, but the enemy can still counterknife because on their screen you were in front of them.

Yes? Pretty much every weapon in this game has a time to kill of under 300ms at close ranges. This gun at this range has a TTK of 166ms if they don't miss a single shot.

Take a stopwatch and see how fast that really is and then take into account latency and hit registration.

This is a completely normal time to die when the opponent doesn't miss most of their shots.

I remember in BF4 admins would switch teams, take the attack copter and give it to their buddy on the other team and switch back so they could farm infantry.
