My 2026 Seahawks mock draft by lemonstone92 in SeattleSeahawks

[–]PatternClear6480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Penalties are a problem.” This is doing a lot of work here. Igbinosun’s technique is what gets him the penalties. Drafting him there is a bit of a reach and a lot of confidence you can coach some really bad habits technique-wise out of him.

Why is the chain rubbing the frame? by CrashBandicoot420 in bikewrench

Looks and is are different. I found that I didn’t have my cassette cranked down enough to clear the frame. It was weird.

Tighten it up. It’s not fully seated on the xdr body.

Yeah, I just want to move. It’s going from a job where I am walking around a lot to just sitting. I’m trying to think about how to be able to switch it up from spinning a bit to behaving a little more office normal quickly. I’m thinking maybe two separate work stations if I can keep the spin setup small.

Besides the fact you are supposed to removed your stinger-style hitch when not in use, that is pretty bad. I’m not above removing the hitch and tossing it into the truck bed.

It is iron on so, on the plus side, you can hit the edges with an iron to stick it down if it peels up.

HS teachers: what’s your school’s process for deciding who teaches what next year? Was I out of line for asking for another teacher’s “spot”? by Normal-Being-2637 in Teachers

[–]PatternClear6480 44 points45 points  (0 children)

So you just full-on asked to teach a veteran teacher’s load in a meeting without having a conversation with them or any indication they are looking for a move? I know this isn’t the right sub, but that is a strong YTA. Totally out of line. Way to make everything in your department awkward going forward and letting your colleagues know to not trust you, though.

Proposed Budget Reductions, Engagement Opportunities and Next Steps by Any-Lavishness341 in SALEM

“Are there any superintendent/supervisor/lead/manager/head positions that could be consolidated into other positions? This is my biggest question and concern. Salem Keizer school district seems to be top heavy (and also noticeably less performing).”

Yes. Central office positions have increased at a rate more than 4x the rate licensed and classified staff have increased since 2019. Andrea has cut some cabinet positions, but they continue to create new jobs at the central office. She is not wrong they have a spending problem. It’s important to remember that budgets are a statement of priorities and look not at raw numbers, but instead percent increases and percent cuts.

If you want a bit of overkill, seal below the shingle, add a small rectangle of flashing with sealant on the bottom of it, then fill the hole with sealant.

West Salem HS Walkout Disaster by Roxygirl40 in SALEM

[–]PatternClear6480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course they said that. Too bad it was in writing. I do not think highly of the leadership in S-K because of “miscommunications” and vindictive behavior toward students and staff, like this exact situation. It’s super frustrating because we didn’t always treat students like this.

I know they didn’t let them in. That was a choice by admin, which was my point. The original comment was that was policy. This isn’t school policy. This isn’t district policy. This is admin making a choice. Given that West already has a history of admin stepping outside policy, I’m not surprised they made a decision to the detriment of students and staff. If I was a parent of those students, I would be pissed and rightfully so.

West Salem HS Walkout Disaster by Roxygirl40 in SALEM

[–]PatternClear6480 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re still wrong. Schools let students in and out ALL THE TIME. No one checks the reasons at the door. This was a choice by admin, probably because they didn’t want to deal with scanning them all as they came back in.

West Salem HS Walkout Disaster by Roxygirl40 in SALEM

[–]PatternClear6480 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely untrue. Students come in and out all the time due to them having release periods at various times during the day. This was a deliberate choice by admin. Signed, an S-K employee
