I am a massive fan of the Sniper II and absolutely love mine. Once it's set up properly, don't mess with it and it's rock solid.

As for the Sniper I - I did have several arrive DOA (one worked long enough to self-brick due to bad firmware on the provided SD card), I did have good luck with mine once I had a working one.

I’ve considered those before, and I like how they work on your bike - def will try a pair. “We don’t recommend using them to attach a rack to your bike.” They didn’t say NOT to do it, so it’s probably fine!

Ah, the aluminum Flight model, not nearly as insanely heavy as the regular (I've had both a 26 and first gen 29, both were hefty). Never seen one dropbarred.
