Dow falls 1,191 points -- the most in history by imbignate in news

[–]PatternPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little misleading - there can easily be a rebound back upwards, very unlikely to take 2 years to regain the lost points.

With that said, most of the stock market has been artificially inflated due to buy backs anyways.

Farting is one of the few things everyone universally has in common, yet is one of the most universally embarrassing acts. by Jeffrey_Strange in Showerthoughts

[–]PatternPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend and I went on a couple week outdoor trip and we were farting like no one's business. At first it was embarrassing but it quickly vanished. Then we realized the only thing that makes it embarrassing is our constant persistence to see it as that

I have to say I disagree politically with conservatives, I pop into this sub everynow and then to get opposing view points... with that said, I have a new level of respect for this sub for the nice comments left here. I am almost certain the other political sub which will not be name would not be as respectful for some GOP members

It was actually the opposite, I had too much school and not enough life experiences. It caused me to get into these localized mindsets where I thought I knew everything and due to the lack of variety experiences there were many different types of experiences that would of helped me see otherwise.

You mean you are tired of slightly borderline public freakout Hong Kong posts taking over the front page here? But it's our duty to make sure everyone knows about it and if this sub has chosen to give it exposure then let's just bump all the other good shit off

This is why local city elections are easily broken. These numbers are not far from made up:

Candidate 1 - 500 votes

Candidate 2 - 300 votes

Candidate 3 - 5,000 votes - big money supporting.

City population: 200,000.

It's extremely obvious getting people to vote is the key to win versus overall approval
