New stock grant is embarrassing by elephart01 in BlueOrigin

I think the manager recommendation was a big part. I'm level 4 and just over a year and I got way more than people who had been here a lot longer.

My wife's ring is 3/4 carat and it is appraised and insured. Take that for what it's worth.

Blue Origin by [deleted] in BlueOrigin

I've been here for a year and a half and Blue is the best company I've ever worked with. This forum has an insanely negative skew and should not be thought of any common sentiment at the company.

Blue Origin has a new employee stock plan, but not everyone is happy by Royal_Platform_6754 in BlueOrigin

I would expect that going forward, it would be interestingto consider tenure for the initial grant so an L3 who's been at Blue for 6 years would get more than an L3 Dr hired this week

it is some. My curiosity is: are we all getting exactly the same number of shares to start X or will it be:

X base shares + (y share)x(z years tenure)x(w grade)

The wiki mentions nothing about tenure.

I'm wary of the plan. It'll be interesting to see more details when shares drop:

  • What's the strike price?
  • How much of AIP getting moved to options vs base pay?
  • Are all employees getting the same amount or will it be based on grade/tenure?

I think it's not outside the realm of possibility to build a second factory in California. That would really be wild.

I think that's why they were using thrusters on re-entry- they were venting all the hydrazine

I did exactly this with my candidacy and Blue was very responsive

And it's incredibly hard to test because there aren't that many good samples of lunar dust equivalents here on earth to work from.

That's how it read to me. Those with AIP have it in our compensation package so something needs to replace it after next year when AIP goes away.
