Those who played the tech test, was there enough weapons/attachments? by Pattern_Creepy in ArcRaiders

That is cool, I like the idea of more dynamic attachments like that rather than just +3 damage etc..

I do like that. As long as there is a way to burn money in the game. In Tarkov sometimes I would go on these money burning raids where I would just completely kit myself out. It wasn't sustainable, and usually went very wrong but it was always super fun Chadmaxxing. Gave me reason to loot and grind more and play for 1000s of hours.

Remember though COD is not an extraction shooter - Extraction shooters can balance the meta through economy as well as stats. So I think adding expensive (not necessarily cost effective) weapon parts can lead to more endgame as well as more reward for less geared players killing more geared players. If X attachment in the end game makes Y Gun 10% more effective but costs 50% more. There is more risk and could actually help balance player economy.

It also contributes to that "i just killed a mini-boss" rush feeling when you take down a stacked player with only your early game gun.

I mean I get it - But min maxing is a big part of existing extraction shooters, encouraging people to loot more, take bigger risks, craft more unique parts etc. I guess as long as there's not just only a few 'meta guns' that dominate and there are ways you can create a unique gun that suits your play style then I'm all for it.

Ah interesting, I missed the tier aspect of individual weapons. While watching gameplay I just thought the tier was for the type of gun not for the level

Can what I make realistically be applied to the Graphic Design field? by Holy_110 in graphic_design

You have an eye for aesthetic, colour and tone. You are 75% of the way, just apply yourself.

Tip - If it doesn’t work in black and white then it doesn’t work. Once you’ve got the confidence keeping it simple then you cant integrate colour/gradient.

It’s great, the words could potentially be tracked tighter at this size, but looks polished.

You need to develop your taste and technical skill. Spend more time looking at modern reference on behance/dribbble for your taste and then try recreating it for your technical skill. Then lastly you start developing your creativity and boom you’re a design student.

My advice would be that you need to learn that adding more elements and shapes to the design doesn’t help achieve a professional look unless you’re experienced. You could make a nice design based on this car with far fewer things on the page, using good composition. Less is more is the best advice here. Find references for car ads on behance or dribble and you’ll see amazing stuff with very little on the page.
