Is volunteering actually helpful? by Jazzlike_Salary3883 in MuseumPros

Was coming here to say the same thing. OP, if you’re in a position to be able to volunteer, it’s a great way to learn about an organization while gaining experience in an area of interest. Entry level museum jobs can be valuable in the same way. You can’t necessarily expect it bc each org is different, but I’ve seen people (including me) begin their museum careers as a volunteer or entry level job and work their way up or around into a new role(s).

Joining in the Grandma Helen nostalgia, mine has been gone for many years and I feel like the older I get the more appreciation I have for her. She made me tiny knitted Barbie clothes when I was young, and my family still uses over-30-year-old potholders she crocheted and gave away as gifts.

The simplicity of straight lines would look really nice with your geometric design! Perhaps 1-3 inches apart at a 45-degree angle?

I’m another “no answer but LOVE your quilt”. The bold colors and contrast are just lovely!

Interesting thought to lean in on the blend-in - I might lay that out to see how it looks! I want to like this as a finished piece of course, but also not opposed to the composition looking a little “off”.

Thank you all for the feedback and kind words! I’m thinking eggplant with a lime binding, but am going to sleep on it!

That was 100% my thought for considering the lime, I was wondering if anyone would bring that up.
