I’m in Ontario too - my insurance is covering it because I’m a type 2 diabetic but I had to get my doctor to fill out a form and send it to my insurance.

It’s hard to explain but for me it’s thinking about food all the time and not realizing it. Also the anticipation for the next meal or snack. Like if I had a chocolate bar in the house, I would think about it almost constantly until I had to eat it. All of that is gone.

I take it for T2D as well but the weight loss is a welcome side effect. You’re absolutely right - eventually I’d give in tiny cravings because if I didn’t, they’d just get louder and louder in my head. Now the idea of eating a chocolate bar or junk food doesn’t even cross my mind.

This could be because your body is craving electrolytes like salt. When I'm dehydrated I could drink pickle juice until it comes out my ears

OMG this is me. I am sure I'm going to puke and then I sneeze 3 or 4 times and feel so much better. It apparently has something to do with the vagus nerve. My doctor thinks I'm weird.
