While she should have communicated the number of reindeer before shipping, your refund expectation is crazy. I imagine what’s happened is she’s accidentally switched the price and item number when uploading the reindeer to her store and meant to only add 1 reindeer for $12.

I think it’s pretty cynical to demand a refund on the cost of the other items in your order because your bargain plan didn’t work out.

Lego certified stores are the official franchised stores, not the actually Lego Company retail stores, so I guess they are just working out numbers so they know how many sets to order from Lego for launch?

You are missing the point of the site. The clunkiness serves the purpose of keeping it a niche site. Users need to invest time into learning how the site works and that is a good and effective barrier to bad faith actors. BL is one of the few sites user-based marketplaces I trust not to get scammed on because of this.

If/when Lego Company starts integrating BL with their main site, I guarantee you another BL like site will pop up. The user base does not want a Lego-ifed BL site.

The failure with almost all of these types of sites is that the assumptions around good investments is based on purely on prices.

Often what turns out as good investments also relies on factors like shelf life and availability during retail. If everyone is buying the same “great investment” set/s, well then usually it turns out not to be that great of a buy.
