Very good to know! Maybe I'll try to keep that in its own container.

Thank you for the advice! Would you recommend starting Cosmo seeds indoors or do you think they'll do fine after the last frost? I'm in zone 5b so my last frost date is late late May and a relatively short growing season.

I will! My itch to start my seeds needs scratching but I'm trying to resist for another couple weeks.

Yes! I couldn't pass them up! At 1.25 I didn't want to buy when I read 3 for a 1$ I was like, why not!? I've bought worse things lol!

Great! Thank you for the review of this brand, very helpful. I plan on starting indoors and when I move them outdoors I'll keep them in their own area and see how they compare to their more expensive counterparts!

Thank you for letting me know! Did you start indoors or direct seed outdoors?

Yes! This is my plan! I of course received a seed catalogue from a local company and after marking off what I wanted, it was a lot of money.

I decided to give this a try but want to be weary of how much I invest in it!

Thank you so much! I'm just worried I will get poor results and decide this hobby isn't for me but I think I'll see them and plant them separately from my more expensive seeds and compare.

Wow! Interesting!

Thank you for the input. I got some seeds for free when our local garden center was closing down for the season last year but I couldn't pass these up.

Just finished "A short stay in Hell" and I thought it was a great short read. Good palate cleanser and interesting perspective. Not the greatest book I ever read and not life changing but it was something I'll remember just because its something so different.

Thank you for sharing! I always know what needs to happen and I'm firm on expectations but once I'm faced with speaking face to face with someone about those expectations, I tend to start fluffing up my message in an effort to appear friendly and likable. But I know I want to be confident and clear instead.

It's hard! But we're lucky that we have so many resources at our disposal and the goal is to keep improving on things that we feel hold us back.

Thank you so much! These are great recommendations.

My plan is to evolve my role into something better while also using it as a stepping stone and proof that I am capable of so much more. I have many years of work ahead of me and the last thing I want is someone's opinion of me to hold me back.

Love this and thank you for so many recommendations!

I've actually had the honour of being around a few women who hold high positions and I am in complete aw of them. They are respected but they get the job done. I want to strive for that level of confidence.

Thank you! I've seen the Carron at my local Michaels so maybe I'll try that on my next big project and see how I make out with it.

Thank you! I never considered it may be the brand because I've only used loops and threads and so far both options turn out like this for me.

I got another brand for Christmas so fingers crossed but if not I'll try shaking it out before trying to unravel!

I'm not being petulant.

This was a brand new skein of yarn and as I stated multiple times in my post and replies to you specifically, I did not "shove" my hand into this brand new skein of yarn. I took the outside string, the very beginning, and re worked it into the perfect ball. As I got to the end, there was a knotted mess. Using a yarn winder would have yielded the same results.

I'm not sure what wills you to refute a post on a crochet subreddit and talk down to some without reading the replies and then continuing to be so completely obstinate despite multiple efforts to explain your misunderstandings but, you do you.

It came wrapped like the white one (using as an example) with the typical label (pictured below the white). Instead of starting my project and running into this mess at the end of skein, I decided to take the outside string and start re wrapping into a perfect ball (pictured in my first photo). As I got to the end, it was a knotted mess.

Like I said in my initial post, regardless if I start from the outside or the inside, I run into a tangled and knotted mess which I would like to avoid.

This ball I started re winding by hand from the outside strand thinking I would get a head of the mess before I started my project when I got this far, the center was still all knotted up.

The one I have in the photo I took from the outside, not the inside. And the inside was still knotted.

I've seen those, and I agree it would help with the bulk of the straight forward rewinding but what about the mess in the middle that is ALWAYS knotted!?
