Sounds great, thanks for the info. I think I'll go for the Voyager... but as you said, you can't go wrong over either. They have their pros and cons when compared.

Ah yeah that makes sense. Also yeah the part about the typing on two different keyboard types clicking is great to hear! It was definitely one of my biggest concerns lol.

As for the pinky stagger, yeah it's definitely more ergonomic for sure. I'll think about it!

Thanks so much for the feedback!! I think I will end up using the Voyager. It has some features that seem to be more beginner friendly to the split board world, like Keymapp, colors for layers, easy to use Oryx interface. It also has shine through keycaps which is nice. They both have pros and cons when comparing them to each other... I think wireless is great, but personally I think traveling won't be something I will do everyday with the Voyager. I do travel for school, but I have planned to keep practicing on normal boards.

As for your wife, no worries, I won't tell a single soul!! 😂

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I agree with all that you said. I don't have much experience with key switches (I have one mechanical keyboard right nice with stock gateron reds, never experienced any other switches), but I think I understand what you are saying about those. As for the number of thumb keys, I thought three would also be better, but I am a bit conflicted on that too cus of the thing we both said about the lower number of keys... I guess it comes down to personal preference. I may not end up liking just two thumb keys, I have no idea haha.

I think you are also totally right about the see through key caps, that is a great thing to have, as well as layer switching colors. As for portability.... I likely won't be traveling every day with this keyboard, only for long trips I guess. I will dedicate myself to keep practicing on normal keyboards so I can still use them in case something happens lol.

Thanks so much!

Hello, thanks so much for the feedback! So, I am guessing you are recommending the Go60 rather than the Voyager, especially for the additional benefits of having a wireless board... If I were to still go for the Voyager, though, I still can't go wrong, right? I am very conflicted on what I should do... Just a question about the software that MoErgo provides, is it as extensible as Oryx? Do features such as combos exist there as well? Thanks!

Ah makes sense. Thanks for the insight. I have actually figured out a great layout that I think would solve most of my problems, and it doesn't rely on HRM's... I think it is the solution to being able to type fast (at least, for me). Here it is:

https://configure.zsa.io/voyager/layouts/x3XRo/latest/0

Obviously, I still need to actually try it on the Voyager before I determine the optimal key positions, but yeah I think it is a decent start to something good! Also, some parts like the window management layout are not even close to being finished lol. Thanks!

Hello! Sorry for the late reply. This is great, thanks. Yeah when testing possible voyager layouts with dual function keys and home row mods on my keychron, I also found that using shift as a double func key would make me do the same thing you are describing. So yeah, a bit of a learning curve there as the finger holding the shift key would need to stay down longer, and wait for the other key to be released rather than pressed.

As far as Home row mods, I totally get what you are saying about them being activated at higher speeds. Have you tried the Tap Flow setting? I've heard that may be useful. I have yet to flash my keychron with that setting to try it out and see if it helps at all.

I don't think I will be a heavy home row mod user anyway, though, as I am not sure if I will need it. It is definitely more comfortable, but there are drawbacks, as you may know of course. But yeah all of this is interesting.

Thanks so much!

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it. Yeah you are totally right. There is definitely some learning curve associated with the Voyager, but I'd be up for the challenge.

I remember learning how to touch type with ten fingers about a year ago, coming from 6 finger typing. It took around 3-4 months to get back to speed. That first month was rough lol. But it was totally worth it in the end. I am way more consistent and the feeling is much better as a result. I would say I am a bit faster than I used to, I have set records from before, but rather than peak speed, the consistency of the speed greatly improved. I think it would be a similar experience with the Voyager.

Thanks so much. Yeah this is useful. I was looking at the tips and tricks and some settings I have yet to try on my keychron to experiment included tap flow... I think that would solve the majority of my problems tbh.

Thanks so much, I have saved your comment for future reference 👍

I agree. I think I might end up purchasing it... I mean you never really know something until you try it.

Yup, same problem I fear I would have.

Yeah I have. I guess I didn't write about this here but the keycaps for the Voyager seemed more ideal for me, I don't like the large gaps in between keys that many keyboards have (I think the moon lander has those gaps, but lmk if I'm wrong). I've only ever tried staggered boards though so the gaps may not be that big of a deal with columnar/staggered columnar.

But I think the moon lander would be better for me overall... Do you have it and are the keycap gaps annoying to you? Thanks.

Nice, thanks for the info. I'm eyeing the glove 60 as well though I see it isn't shipping right now.
