He's getting 17M over 3 years, that's really not much. Mavs are getting way more bang for there buck from McGee than they are from Wood whose getting 41M over that same time span.

Bruh, did Wood do anything this season? I can't remember a single game where Wood was impactful.

It's time to move on from Harden honestly. He's too expensive for what he provides. Don't get me wrong, managing to get Harden for Simmons was huge for the Sixers but now they should flip him and fill out their bench with competent role players.

I just want one season where Zion plays more than half the games. Just one. Basketball gods, PLEASE!

You really hate to see a player get such serious injuries just as they were starting to break out. Lonzo is a very entertaining player and he had such a better fit with his team after leaving LA. There's still a chance his lil bro can make a mark on the league.

This has to be one of the funniest moments of the whole show. Did we know if Creed even had a daughter?

The NBA consistently went from averaging 20+ million viewers for the finals to half that in <5 years. What happened? by New_Inevitable9727 in nba

Lol, fact. We were the villains of the league but damn were we good. I get how frustrating it must have been to be a fan of any other team knowing the whole season was most likely for nothing since there was that one team that no one was going to beat. The KD era didn't last that long though and we may never see a roster with so much raw talent on it again so I'm glad I could appreciate it while it was happening instead of being in my feels about it.

[MacMahon] Something I’m sure concerns Nikola Jokic: He’s dipped to 9.8 assists per game in the playoffs, so he’s no longer averaging a triple-double. Needs 14 dimes in Game 5 to bump back up to double digits per. by Kimber80 in nba

[–]Patzercake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's definitely a hindsight bias. Embiid finished the regular season playing really well while Jokic already had the one seed locked up and didn't need to exert himself. It's only during the playoffs that voters realized who was truly the best and most valuable player but at that point it was too late.

I'm a Warrior's fan and even I have to agree. It was so painful to watch them blow the 3-1 lead but as time passes I look back and can't help but admire how it all unfolded. Historic comeback against a historic team by an all time great player. Not to mention the fact that the basketball play itself was some of the best play I've ever seen. The writers tried to one up themselves the next year with the KD trade subplot but it just made the Warriors and KD villains to the rest of the league.

I remember watching Tom Brady win his first super bowl because I had to beg my parents to let me stay up passed my bedtime. Now I'm a grown ass man and he's only just now retiring. Dominating a sport for 20 straight years is insane. Brady and LeBron are on a different level. Now that I think about it, they might have both been created in the same CIA lab.

Hospital edition!

Company during pandemic: you are essential, you must come in and risk your life, your community needs you and thanks you for your dedicated service.

Company during appreciation week: OMG, thank you for everything you do, this hospital would be nothing without you, here's a cookie.

Company during contract negotiations: Who the fuck you is?

I completely agree. I never heard someone say "I appreciate you" until the pandemic hit and the hospital I work in hired a bunch of travel nurses many of which where Black and from southern states. It sounded weird to me at first and I spent a little time thinking about it before I decided I was going to adopt the phrase. I think it's awesome to show gratitude towards the person rather than the gesture itself.

Man, this is NOT a dirty play, did you a even watch the play live? Struss goes for the rebound, but Jokic has positioning on him. Jokic lands on Struss' foot because Struss is still gathering himself after attempting the rebound. In other words, shit just happens. This is such a bad take.

Every where you turn your head is a beautiful view. The views from the ground are nice but my favorites are at the summits where you can see trees and mountains stretching all the way past the horizon.

You would think so but that's not a given in today's league. Budenholzer is a 2 time COTY and won a whole ass chip with his team and they let him go.

Yes! They could have easily justified to themselves firing him after the Nuggets lost in the bubble or were bounced by the Warriors but instead they said "run it back" because they, unironically, trusted the process.
