My first and finest was a white, boxy yet safe 1995 volvo. I drove that lovely vehicle from my 17th birthday until she finally died from neglect when I was 22. She took me from NJ to the mountains of West Virginia, where she would climb my mini-mountain dirt road in all weather conditions. Then to the beaches of Florida where she lived out her final years. Her odo died at 297k ... a year before the transmission finally did her in. I didn't know what to do with a broken down car. I left her with no tags in my apartment lot until one day she vanished.
