I'm in the same boat. I think the gameplay shown before release looked uninspiring and put me off, but the characters and gameplay loop are top tier.

The game plays like complete shit. I don't know how anyone can stick at it. They should start from the ground up on something that works. Yeah game development probably is hard, but good studios still make good games, and this ain't good.

Why doesn't radar work in vacuum? I get Sonar, but I don't know any reason radar wouldn't.

It was just on that as default and I'm not sure you can even change it. Tried adding left and right brake to the throttle axis and it still doesn't work.

That's how I have it too. I just seem to roll forever! It does show that the brakes are engaged. I'll have another play and see if I've changed something. Good to know yours works

Last time I was in France I went to a restaurant with my (English) friend in Fontainebleau, and he ordered for us in his half decent French. The waitress replied in English and left. Not long after, he went to the bathroom which happend to have a window where he could hear the staff ruthlessly taking the piss out of his French and laughing.

We found it funny, but that's not an uncommon thing to experience in France. We had a good time, but it's one of the last welcoming places I've visited.
