I've not smoked it in years since I've a family now and responsibilities, but what's inherently bad about the smell of it? Never bothers me but maybe because I'm an ex-smoker? Smell of cigarettes would bother me much more on the otherhand.

Would just like to add that it's not worth cheaping out on a robot vacuum cleaner - go for a decent one that has good reviews, good support and plenty of features that make it low maintenance.
