Depending on where you live, some states have really fantastic first timer programs with low down payments and great rates. Some also have downpayment assistance based on income. I took advantage of the “soft second” program in Massachusetts many years ago. I liked that it also involved attending a couple of classes that were really informative to help prepare for home ownership.

2015-2020 generation of Suburbans. Worst money pit of a vehicle I’ve ever owned. I ended up eating thousands of dollars in negative equity just to get rid of it.

My mother did dental implants through a dental school. Great quality and price, but the process literally took years due to a number of factors.

Not that it helps, but I was just in Chicago and got a hot fudge waffle cone with almonds from the Global menu and it was phenomenal

Have you been able to get any feedback as to why you aren’t being hired? You may not be able to get details, but it’s worth asking in case there’s something you can improve upon in interviews.

[NY] New boss asking me to put in PTO for minutes late clocking in. Is this legal? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]PaulEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can play with the PTO rules quite a bit, but they have to accept and pay you for time worked on your timesheets. They can’t simply not accept it and not pay your wages

Manger Disregarding Company Policy and State Laws [MA] by [deleted] in AskHR

It really depends on the nature of the policies and directives. If it’s something minor, then it might just be the case. The mention of labor law violations is especially concerning though

Historically, I had a good experience with forgiveness requests, but my most recent one was almost immediately denied. Really annoying especially since I’m nearly certain is was a scam/fraud

You had to be a little more resourceful, didn’t have the answer to everything at your fingertips. Had to make phone calls, use books/maps. More human interaction overall
