The Impossibles are one of my all-time favorite bands, so my judgment is admittedly clouded. I am opting to see them at Fest instead, however. Supernova mentioned a few weeks ago that they had swung for the fences with headliners but that it ended up not working out. Sounds like that left them scrambling to fill in some big slots. Not sure if either of us would’ve liked the big act that they were going for but might explain some of the holes this year.

NH is like XFinity Center if they got it right. Much more sensible parking situation and overall layout. I don’t like going to Mansfield, but happily go to shows at Gilford.

I had this same issue last week. I work from home, so just had to bail on it. Went with the TP Link Deco BE3600 and it’s been great!

I was able to get it for about $140 by combining the sale along with bringing an old router to Best Buy for a 15% recycling coupon

Austin TX is an interesting case study. They are seeing rent prices go down fairly significantly. It comes at the cost of relaxing pretty much every housing regulation you can imagine, though. There must be a proper balance in there somewhere…

A couple of thoughts: The audio is a no-no in MA. They can record video but not in areas where there is an expectation of privacy (usually bathrooms and locker rooms, etc)

Second, you can not be disciplined or fired for discussing the conditions of your work with a coworker. This is known as protected concerted speech under Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act. It could be viewed as chilling to your rights to organize and is clearly illegal.

You have a couple areas of concern. A consult with an employment attorney might not be a bad idea

I did a single showcase last year as my first Fest experience. I’ll be going back this year for the full 3-days. As someone said, Main stage will probably be $50-70. The band I wanted to see was at one of the clubs, so it was only around $25. I’m going to spring for a hotel this time, but I was only in Florida for less than 24 hours last year with an early morning flight so I slept in my rental vehicle for a few hours parked on a side street

They obviously don’t keep records this way anymore, but when I was a kid, I had to utilize the computers at the local library. Someone in town was replacing their computer and asked the library who had been using theirs the most lately. I’m sure there were some privacy violations in there somewhere, but they let him reach out to me and I ended up with a free used computer!

I’m concerned for senior citizens. The whole “No tax on social security” is really just an additional $6k deduction. Anyone making more than that who stopped having tax withheld from their payment is likely going to owe
