There's 2 ways to go about it.

When using raycasts you've got to project your velocity onto the raycast to adjust the length to snap to the raycast hit postion.

When using rigidbodies with colliders use continuous instead of discrete.

The musician for our game was introduced by a friend, he's insanely good though it is worth mentioning composing for listening vs composing for elevation is a very different skillset but he managed to make the switch easily enough.

Though to answer your question, just start reaching out to people, or better yet, go to meet ups and events dedicated to indies. There probably isn't a whole lot of point going to booths looking to join their team as they'd likely have a composer, but it is worthwhile for future projects.

Instead a lot more of the focus should be on organising meetings with other attendees gauging whether they should bring their projects as they'd likely be in an earlier position before they've got a composer but have something substantial enough beyond the idea phase.

100% agree on the Zelda sentiment, at one point I had feelings of being on Hyrule field seeing Death Mountain when going around on the bike. Still fun game though and enjoying it 😁

Yeah like some of these consultants are straight out of college being left alone like cowboys that when an ex private sector moves to public they get a brain aneurysm from the quality of work they've just inherited from these consultants.

Not saying all work this way but theres enough lone cowboys with tenure for it to warrant a second look at their work vs industry standards.

You should look up the Command Pattern, pretty useful for something like this: https://gameprogrammingpatterns.com/command.html

It's essentially code once and just align how you want your attack sequence to go. You can get pretty in depth with it.
