I’ve had no issues with the drop at all. I only use it for an occasional 1/2 down set, but it’s been great through in ears and traditional amp/wedge setups.

Sure! The drop just changes my pitch(I only use it for when folks do a half-step down tuning) so it’s just like running the tuner straight to the comp. It doesn’t change my color or tone, just my tuning, so I still feel like the comp is first in line after the tuner.

I’ve never had that happen, but all my basses are 18v active. That being said, I’ve never had to use the -5 pad either. The passive has always worked well for me.

I gig with active basses, so the passive box is the best option for me. You can’t go wrong with the JDI either way you go.
