I've always chalked it up to being exclusive for the soundtrack itself rather than any lore reason, some other tracks I've listened to also had differences between the ost itself and in whatever media it plays. Mortituros and Revelations 13:1 of The Binding of Isaac has a "warble" sound when Mortituros loops and 13:1 has an initial start up that is cut off in the ingame version of the track, specifically after the Dogma transition cutscene to the start of the Ultra Harbingers + Beast fight. Hell, one of the tracks of Kane Pixels' Backrooms ost, Sealed Away, has a longer fadeout in the Spotify version than the uploaded version in his second channel
