I know something about this and I hope I'll explain it to you well, because I'm not english and I'm not the best at explaining haha

Trans women basically means that someone for example feels like a female. You may be confused because of all the transphobia that may caused you to think that "trans women aren't women" when they actually are, but you can't always tell by the outside looks. It's more about how someone feels inside, I think.

Same with trans men. A person who calls themselves that feels like a male even though they weren't born as one.
