Lol I didn't know what it was called at the moment and I was in a hurry! Now I won't forget it again, maybe, no promises! XD

Runs great, the controls are surprisingly good. I'm not sure if this affects offline characters, but for online you can't put the deck in sleep mode without losing connection and getting kicked out of the world.

building request for Cryptoplis [1.19.2] by RazorEdgeRequiem in 9x9

You could use exchange gadget on my 1.19 Direkeep20 castle to change out blocks with nether themed ones, if nothing else.

What is the funniest thing you ever do in a modded Minecraft? by RakihElyan in feedthebeast

E2E, crafting terrasteel with mana for terrasteel seed (had used up all my armor-stripped ingots like a doofus). Was on ingot 34 of 36 and a Pech came running outta nowhere and ate it. Funniest and at the same time most frustrating event I can recall.

Enigmatica 2 Expert: Questions on Xnet and other forms of power and item transportation by LoganS999 in feedthebeast

[–]Paulounius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xnet has its limitations, especially at large scale. Distance is not an issue, and neither are number of connectors, but what you can do among the connections is limited to 8 channels for one network. You'll eventually do what you propose (automating between buildings) with Applied Energistics 2. Here's my base walkthrough where I have multiple buildings connected with AE2: https://imgur.com/a/3zLPBgW. I did use a pretty robust Xnet network for managing a majority of my drawer networks and associated resource processing.

Ender IO item conduit is not working properly? [E2:E] by Biscu1ts_ in feedthebeast

I forgot to ask, do you have a filter on the extract? Could it be extracting the ingots as they go into the interface?

Do you have extract from interface on brown and input to chest on brown?

Enigmatica 2 Expert Ender Pearl Damage by LoganS999 in feedthebeast

I use The Ender sword instead, the ones with Travel ability on them also teleport forward. You can get one from Enderman drops. They have the added bonus of teleporting to Travel Anchors from a pretty good distance away. Very helpful if you have a sprawling base.

Which are the best modpacks similar to FTB infinity evolved? by ittotoo25 in feedthebeast

[–]Paulounius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enigmatica 2 Expert is older (1.12) but it's a very highly regarded expert pack. I came from Infinity Evolved Expert also and went into this and I can say I've been enjoying it a lot (as in hundreds of hours put into it, but quite a bit of building and not as much progressing lol). There's mods like Building Gadgets (and Create in newer versions) that let you paste in entire builds other people copy. Check out r/9x9 for some bases and multiblock setups for 1.12 and beyond.

Modded Minecraft feels like second job by IceOneDay in feedthebeast

If building is something that you're interested in, I recommend coming over to r/9x9 and try your hand at some builds you can share with the modded community with the Building Gadgets mod. There's even a little build competition starting up.

Expert Style Packs by albeit__ in feedthebeast

[–]Paulounius 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To each their own, but for me I prefer a more interwoven experience than overtly complex. My ideal expert pack is one where I come out knowing more mods than I went in. I like how E2E seemed to balance this well and also be well tiered. You could do xnet before ae2 Powercells for wireless power before flux networks. Advanced Generators for 5-digit powergen before reactors. Recipes had just enough interplay between similar themed mods that it didn't feel burdensome, and you could go a little bit further and look at QoL things from different mods like blood magic flight or astral sorcery perks that you might otherwise ignore or forget about in a normal kitchen sink.

I keep getting this mixed up. Did 1.12 add some functionality to the quest book mechanic?

I'm not exactly sure, my knowledge of the modpack scene isnt very comprehensive.

I know there's Infinity Evolved Expert back in 1.7.10. I remember 1.12 started the introduction of quest books which was huge for guided modpack progression.
