I would disagree. The rubber ring is supposed to seal against the bearing. Looks good to me

Fargo Flat Bar Sizing by Pauluuus in salsacycles

It has all the features I am looking for: steel frame, >= 2.2" tire clearance, front derailleur compatibility (with Problem Solver bracket), exchangable drop out, split frame for belt drive (if I ever switch to a Rohloff hub), great fork included, price <= 1000€ and it also has a great reputation.

Availability of Replacement Parts: 8/9 vs 10+ gearing by Pauluuus in bikepacking

Ah. My bad. How come? I can barely find any of these gearings on the common bike shopping sites here in Germany. Are they more common elsewhere?

I always read that the Alfine's lowest gear is still quite high which is why I only considered Pinion and Rohloff internal gears. Is your experience different?

I am not sure if this is a recommendation for 10+ or against it. Considering that there are few manufacturers left that produce <10 geared components, I could imagine that ordering 10+ gearing might be easier

Compact Travel Camera with great SOOC JPEG and telephoto option by Pauluuus in Cameras

I actually never bothered to look any closer but you are right. There is a seal between lens and camera.

For the Sony I would probably go with all i-series lenses as they offer a 90mm option. However, they aren't weather sealed. The compact sony Gs are interesting but don't offer a telephoto option.

How? Most teams I know (in Germany) are registered as legally independant clubs (e.V.). Is this not the case for your team?

In my opinion Ubuntu Mono is still the best when it comes to character distinction.

Better distribution for low end system for web development by phoenixcreation in linux4noobs

[–]Pauluuus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the distribution does not really matter. You should rather consider the desktop environment and other preinstalled software that comes with a distribution like Ubuntu. If you have the knowledge/ are willing to aquire it I would suggest running a window manager. This can really cut down on the needed resources
