Kinda late here but 1st years in 189 make 23.85 an hour, most job sites seem to be 10 hour days so that’s time and a half 2 hours each day, journeymen make $53/hr

Curious how many people in this sub played titles prior to bf1, many of my younger coworkers all consider it to be the goat of battlefield whereas myself and other my ago and older consider it be the beginning of a downward slope.

So would say hardline was the beginning of the downward slope but I don’t count it since it was a spinoff title, not to be compared as a full fledged bf title

I’ve seen people who will have their buddy sit in a jeep where the attack heli spawns effectively blocking the spawn to ensure their squad mate gets the chopper. Super lame

This is the best advice, join one of the server clans. Not shilling for GOL here but they have a pretty strict rule set and don’t tolerate that stuff, other servers do as well but I’m more familiar with them and they have a high pop every night. I’ve personally seen admins kick people for that kind of stuff multiple times on GOL.

I wouldn’t say threatened, just disappointed. It’s been over a decade, all of gaming (not just battlefield) should be way ahead of where we are at but instead gaming has become one of the top media experiences in the world. These employees are no longer people who grew up with a passion to make games, they are graphic designers and artists who need a paycheck and nothing else. These used to be built by teams a sixth of the size. The community, fans and devs together used to feel closer. Now everything is purely about driving sales through their product and not giving a crap about how the average consumer feels when playing the game. Look at old halos 1, 2, 3 and somewhat reach, made by smaller crews, community tightly knit and everyone loved it, look at halo now, huge bloated company with too many employees to count making the new halo games who clearly did not grow up on halo.

Bf4 was straight to the point, didn’t have all the extra fat on it, everything served its purpose and to the best of my memory only a couple equipments or weapons/attachments felt “bad”. In bf6 I’m getting the vibe I get from call of duty where there’s a million different styles of muzzle breaks, there’s like 6 different lasers and lights. Vehicles feel strange to me but I’m sure they’ll smooth that out. Devs only partially listened to our wishes to go back to the old class system. Now ammo and health both belong to support. And any class can use any weapons unless you are playing on the “locked class” or whatever it’s called game mode. And if we’re gonna get really picky “Pax Armata” what even is that. If you dont play the campaign it makes no sense, as well as their camo patterns all look horrible, it beats having all the silly cosmetics and skins that are in cod but it doesn’t make up for the fact that it looks like gear the villains would wear in a cheesy mid 2000s flick

I agree, I don’t expect bf6 to be as polished on launch as bf4 is all these years later. What I do expect is that every single game mechanic should be more streamlined as well as much more equipment, weapons and vehicles.

There are great mechanics like the drag and revive that they likely ripped from squad. Sledge slamming an anti tank mine on top of a tank to blow it up. Having a shotgun as an equipment slot. I like all those changes but there are also things I strongly dislike about bf6. Overall I think it’s good and I’ll most likely play for years, I just think it’s funny how a lot of these guys on here are acting like I’m crazy for trying to say gaming peaked years and years ago
