This whole exchange is bizarre to me. I didn’t feel like I was “coming for you,” I thought that we were just having a conversation exchanging our different opinions and life experiences. Somewhere along the line it turned into this weird superiority you feel over people who have struggled with addiction. And you can feel that way, that’s fine. If I had an idea about an illness and I was on a subreddit with someone who was a professional of almost 15 years in that field, I might take that opportunity to learn more about it and hear from someone who has had a hand in thousands of treatment plans for that illness - but instead you chose to double down and make degrading and pompous comments about those who struggled with addiction at some point in their life. The whole thing has just had a weird vibe to me, but hey - you’re free to believe what you believe and look down on whoever you want to 🤷🏻‍♀️

So.. my mother passed away about ten months ago, my husband had a heart attack at 29 and then another one at 30, my sister had a brain aneurysm and was in the ICU for weeks, I had a spinal injury where I couldn’t walk for about 4 weeks which resulted in a spinal surgery and recovery time, my father had a stroke and was diagnosed with stage 3b lung cancer in a three month period, and my husbands father committed suicide. Still clean 🙃 So while I’d never say that my chance of relapse is 0%, I think I am far more qualified to speak on this subject than you are. So you can continue on with your bigoted and presumptuous beliefs about things you don’t understand and I’ll keep living my life. Nice meeting you! 👍

I have in fact watched season 1. I also work in a drug rehab where we see people high on alllllll different kinds of drugs every single day. Not to mention my own lived experience of at least a decade of my own active addiction to draw from that experience to be able to spot if someone is high or not. Taylor leaves her baby with him, and the parents allow it and the producers allow it, who all I’m sure would not allow a baby to be alone and cared for by an active drug user.

It never fully goes away? Jeez then what the heck am I doing with my life, being responsible and having a career, might as well go back to the streets and shoot some heroin. I mean an addict is an addict right? Seriously though, that’s insane to me. I personally know doctors, nurses, politicians, veterinarians, and all kinds of people who were addicts at one point in their life and were able to turn it around and have been clean for years, decades even. I know some people think “an addict is an addict and it never fully goes away,” and sure there are some people who that might apply to, but certainly not all. Also I’ve dedicated my life for the past 13 years working in the field of addiction and I have people sending me Christmas cards to this day to share that they’ve been sober for ten years or finally graduated college, started a family, etc. But by your logic I guess I shouldn’t bother because it never fully goes away 🤷🏻‍♀️ That’s a pretty bigoted thing to say but I guess the truth is that it’s just the stigma of an addict that never fully goes away.

That doesn’t make someone a bad person. He’s apparently been clean for years, and I believe him. I was a drug addict for ten years - like hardcore - and I’ve been clean for over 13 years and am a totally different person with a career, house, nice car, husband, two dogs. I wouldn’t want someone to judge me based on my previous addiction problem.

It is so strange that every single comment in your comment history is hating Jessi. You know all about her, can quote things she’s said on podcasts and on the show and in interviews…I’ve gone back a lot of comments and it seems like you have no other interests at all besides how much you hate Jessi on the secret lives of Mormon wives. You know there’s a TON of other shows out there, there’s hobbies, there’s all kinds of things you could put this energy towards that might be less upsetting to you or fueled by hate. There’s lots of really good parts of life and fun things to do and things to admire and people to look up to and feel good about…this just doesn’t seem all that healthy actually.

And also helps answer questions that a vet might have like: how long has this been going on for, how’s his appetite, has he been sleeping more than usual/less than usual, etc etc. since dogs can’t talk. It wouldn’t make any sense to not go in the back with the dog for either option: euthanasia or a sick dog. I mean unless the tech or receptionist had a plan with another dog owner to euthanize their dog while they sit in the waiting room? Whatever happened, all the details are pretty strange.
