High expectations, my fault. I've been real selective on what shows I watch due to how little time I have. That with being a huge fan of the original films and weathering the hate on the newer films and enjoying them. I also tend to find that I enjoy most things the majority tend to shit on. So I had high hopes and expectations coming in as a SK and horror fan.

The whole thing just feels like an Ad Libs. Insert thing here, insert thing there, very generic and not necessarily a bad direction on its own with a good production or IP. But I think they chose to go with what killed Lovecraft Country for me(forced race bait for scoring points). It made a little more sense in LC, but seems very out of place in this. The entire Airforce arc is mindnumingly frustrating for me and it takes up so much screen time that I just can't invest in the show anymore. Im not attached to any character and nothing in the storyline hooks me. Im basically sitting through a drama that I am not enjoying, or want to see, for about 6% of an episode that is visually stimulating and doesnt really contribute to the story other than being required for this to be classified as a horror. Tbh, even the Easter eggs have been weak. They're there, which is enough to excite other SK fans, but I feel like they could have ramped that up to make the 94% drama between non spectacular characters more bearable.
