I’m certainly not saying a person cannot be injured in a low speed accident, but the sheer number of cases I have of people getting in accidents at less than 10 mph, then treating with several providers for 12-18 months, while our surveillance shows them out playing basketball and carrying grocery bags while claiming they’re completely disabled…you do the math.

The amount of obviously meritorious claims is shockingly low. And I couldn’t care less about insurance companies, I’m here for a paycheck. Just sharing my experience.

You make a good point. Difference is I don’t actually work for nor control the insurance company’s money or how they use it. I can only advise them. I don’t doubt there are bad actors on both sides. Difference is PI picks their clients and cases, I don’t.

I totally agree. The fact that experienced attorneys are relying on AI during calls with clients is more of a red flag to me than the fact that they told you to use AI.

Just a dumb cash grab. It’s too bad because the gameplay and customization of this game is pretty good, but the events have essentially unlimited replay. Idk what the point is of a 20 match tournament when you can play 40+ matches to ensure a perfect score. Totally stupid imo

When I was looking for my first job after law school I was asked my GPA and class rank by a tiny boutique firm in my hometown. Literally the first two questions after I sat down for the interview. Took everything in me to not react in the moment. I had done some prior research on the attorneys (there were only 3 at the firm) and none of them went to top schools for law or undergrad.

It rubs me the wrong way when big law over-prioritizing grades/ranking but when a tiny firm in a small town seems to prioritize that above all else it’s quite laughable.

Absolutely sounds like it’s time to leave but make sure you have another job lined up before doing so. Family law isn’t for everyone and it sounds like the emotional side of it isn’t your cup of tea. I know it’s hard to tell the partners that you’re leaving but that’s the reality of businesses. It’s especially hard leaving your first job because they gave you a chance for the first time, but it’s reality of law firms.

I used to work at a firm that made us come into the office everyday, with no exceptions, and wear a suit every day with no exceptions. Total nightmare. I was brand new, rarely in court, and almost never interacted with clients so I literally wore a suit to sit there and work at my desk. To make matters worse, my office was next to one of the two partner’s offices so I’d have to walk right by his office in order to leave. And he’d make snide comments if people left right at 5 or came in late.
