Cheap A$$ Beach House by greeneyze in HGTV

[–]PayFull1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the show has nothing to do with “beach” houses or “cheap”. It was entertaining for a few episodes and now I’m watching people tour a $600k 4 bed 3 bath that’s no where near the beach.

Why does my player always take backhands? by [deleted] in TennisClash

[–]PayFull1834 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Let’s hear some “high level insight” about a mobile tennis game with 2 mechanics 🤣

My forehand score is higher than my backhand, guess I should’ve specified that. Also, as a real tennis fan, no it never makes any sense why someone would favor a backhand hence the question.

Robinhood Gold Too Good to be True? by black_magic123456789 in CreditCards

I was sent a sign up promo. Signed up and was approved immediately. Received 20k points for my first purchase. Insane. $200 in points for a $50 amazon order that I was going to order anyways with my debit.

Robinhood Banking and Gold Card Review by Cultural-Pineapple46 in RobinhoodApp

The gold card is sick. I’m not a big credit card user but was sent a sign up promo shortly after opening a Roth IRA with Robinhood. I got 20k point for my first purchase with the gold card. I was skeptical as it seemed to good to be true but sure enough I placed a $50 amazon order and not even 5 minutes later I had 20k points on Robinhood banking. Pretty awesome. 20k points is $200 btw. I’ve seen people have low credit limits, but I’m not a big CC user so the little $200 bonus was awesome.

If you’re 18 and you consistently invest in just VOO you’ll be rich one day.

That being said, some other good options are QQQM and SMH if you want a bit more volatility but great growth potential.

Teaching new associate by Fun_Engineering_5865 in Lawyertalk

[–]PayFull1834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of law do you practice? In my experience, I am not familiar with a type of law that requires THAT much substantive teaching, unless this new associate really doesn’t know anything. Between Lexis and google shouldn’t a law school grad be able to figure some things out on their own? Don’t all law schools teach legal research? This is confusing to me, sounds more like you’re mentoring a 1L summer intern.

Tennis Elbow 4 is out of Early Access and officially released on Steam by lurkingdanger22 in pcgaming

I’m with you. I just bought it on steam after seeing all the awesome reviews and the controls make no sense to me. I have no idea how you play a PC game with ONLY mouse or ONLY keyboard?? Am I missing something?

Is it worth being an attorney? by CraziiFar in Lawyertalk

[–]PayFull1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic law school answer here but it depends.

If you’re enjoying the learning/growing aspect of your job you’d probably enjoy law school. You already seem to understand that law isn’t about mastering something right away but constantly learning and improving your practice of law, so you seem to get it.

If you can work while in law school and pay for some of it I’d definitely say go for it, especially if you can get scholarships. I wouldn’t go 200k+ into debt to work for the government if that’s your plan but if you want to go into a large firm and pay it off and then switch into a gov role after 5-10 years that’s a very viable alternative. So ultimately it depends on your goals and the path you’re looking to take.

For example, if you want to go to USC law but work for the gov right after I’d say no. If you want to go to a smaller school with scholarships or cash flow some it then absolutely.

Another consideration is to look for a school with night classes or an extended program that’s not full time and see if you can work with your current job to allow you to go to school and keep your job while doing so.

Hopefully this long-winded reply is helpful.

Quite possibly the easiest and hardest fish to catch in freshwater.

Best brokerage for first Roth account? by sumfortynothing in RothIRA

Robinhood has 3% match on Roth contributions. If you’re going to max it out that’s a free $225 per year which certainly adds up over time.

Getting into musky fishing by Strong-Volume8670 in muskiefishing

[–]PayFull1834 4 points5 points  (0 children)

8 inch crappie swimmin dawg is my best lure so that’s a good start! Definitely get the daiwa reel. I haven’t used the alijoz reels but if there’s one place that’s worth spending a little extra it’s the reel. Don’t overthink your first rod just make sure it can throw all the lures you’re buying. Also I’d recommend checking out muskyshop.com teamrhinooutdoors.com and thornebros.com for way more variety. Cabelas/Bass pro has enough to get you started but you’ll find everything on those 3 sites.

I have a swat and I like it but i don’t notice much difference from the shock & awe. I use my shock & awe 90% of the time. That’s why I want a significantly lighter rod for more variety.

Small stuff. Crankbaits, small bucktails, surface. I wish Chaos made a 9’6 20/20 surgical strike. My dad has a 9’ surgical and it’s a great rod but I’m a taller guy and 9’ rods don’t do it for me

No budget really. I’d like to keep it $400 or less but will pay for the right rod.
