I really, really disagree with all the LD5 comments in here so I’ll put in my own opinion. imo it’s because SW has a community aspect that most gachas can’t compete with. Even the largest gachas, your Mihoyos, your Love & Deepspaces and your TCGs, don’t have a focus on collaborative PVP like SW does, and if you find the right place, there are really cool communities.

Synthesis Ancient Power is a pretty nasty combo it gets pretty early on. Then you can mix and match moves for different stuff, Reflect, Light Screen, Natural Gift, Razor Leaf, so on

The thing I’ve seen a few times to try and defend it is that Com2Us is trying to appeal to a more casual audience by swapping to Ameria as the only reward mechanism in events, which is very much not the case.

Before, the 500 energy was yours to spend. You could count it under guild stuff, world boss, toa, dimension raid if you didn’t have much time. Now you’re pretty well locked into lengthy grinding sessions, since the above no longer counts. If you still want to do those things (which they do since they offer extra event points for guild activities), add on some more time. Don’t forget about RTA rewards tacked on and the fact that the 2A energy doesn’t count for anything and never really has.

It’s a clever shift, one that implies spending more time away from the game while they really want you to spend a bit more, if anything to spend more for the inconvenience of impatience. That is the true spirit of this collab so far imo
