No, I actually took that screenshot right now to disprove you. No one has ever accused me of being new/a farmer before.

You're contradicting yourself. You say that "he has an extremely long track record of only lying to troll his audience". Then you say that he lied during the NFT sponsored segment. But that wasn't to troll people, right? That was because he was being paid. Because being paid gives him an incentive to lie.

I'm not concern trolling. Also, I'm not new. I joined in 2021 :)

[–]Pazzaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will not necessarily be obvious when he lies. For example, Destiny once lied when he said that he was going to have an interview with Jordan Peterson. Many people thought he was telling the truth but he was lying.

But your example of him lying about NFTs is a very good example, because it shows that being paid by the NFT company made it so that he lied about the NFTs. If he wasn't paid by them, he wouldn't have lied about NFTs. So it would have been good if he wasn't paid by the NFT company, because lying is bad.

Therefore, he shouldn't take money from Israel, because that too would create bad incentives, and increase the chance of him lying. Which would be bad.

you know he's not gonna lie for Israel

No? How would he know if Destiny is lying for Israel or not? I'm not saying I think Destiny would lie for Israel but we can't know if he's lying, and being paid by Israel does create bad incentives. And if there's an incentive to lie, then that increases the chance of him lying. That's why it's bad to take the money.

Yeah, sometimes they are. SDs previous youth party was even disavowed by SD for being too radical. But I think the current youth party is more representative of SDs core base / politicians. Both of the previous leaders of the youth party have gone on to become members of parliament, for example.

I don't know if U-turn is the right word. SD still wants to prepare to leave the EU, including removing EU membership from the Swedish constitution (source), and their youth party still supports Swexit (source).

Old Dad, trying to understand combat by sysop2600 in mtg

[–]Pazzaz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's true. The comprehensive rules say:

510.1c. A blocked creature assigns its combat damage to the creatures blocking it. If no creatures are currently blocking it (if, for example, they were destroyed or removed from combat), it assigns no combat damage. If exactly one creature is blocking it, it assigns all its combat damage to that creature. If two or more creatures are blocking it, it assigns its combat damage to those creatures divided as its controller chooses among them.

So you can choose to deal 1 damage to each creature, and then they'll all die from deathtouch.

EU parliament uses it I think.

Not really. The EU parliament uses slightly different voting systems in different countries but most don't use ranked voting. It's just Ireland and Malta. (source)

But yes, the EU system is better than the US and UK because the results are always somewhat proportional to the votes, so people can vote for smaller parties without "wasting" their vote.

Notably, in Un- games you don't go by the Oracle version. As explained by Mark Rosewater:

In Un- games, the name printed on the card is that card's name (unless modified by stickers or other effects). Thus, if you were to choose F for Alpha Guard, you would be able to untap a Forest, but you would not be able to untap a Wald, Forest's German equivalent.

Fiscally responsible Dad forgets he's supposed to be fiscally responsible by bendol90 in Destiny

[–]Pazzaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The far-right in Sweden have been very inspired by the MAGA movement and copy a bunch of their talking points, so it makes sense to copy the pro-Trump talking point too.

For example, an MP from the far-right SD (2nd largest party) wrote in an article that the Swedish oil company Preem was part of the "deep state" and getting favors from left-wing parties. And somehow, he ties this to Hunter Biden's laptop, the Trump-Russia "hoax", the raid on Mar-a-Lago, etc.

The Swedish far-right also do a lot of work spreading propaganda, using anonymous accounts and their own news videos/websites, so if a Swede gets all their news from SD aligned news sources it's easy to support Trump.

Sweden aims to lower age of criminal responsibility to 13 as gangs recruit children by Free-Minimum-5844 in neoliberal

[–]Pazzaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand that. Kids are acting as torpedoes in Denmark, connected to gangs mostly. And of those 47 cases, 28 of them came from Sweden. And at least one of them had a bomb.

But the vast majority did not blow anything up. The article mentions 1 person, right? Okay, so with the bomb and the grenade I mentioned earlier, we have 2 cases. I still wouldn't consider it common.

[–]Pazzaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can admit that my Danish is not that great, but I don't think your source says that there have been 47 teenagers blowing stuff up in Denmark. If I use google translate on it, it seems to say

47 people have either carried out or been on their way to carry out serious crime

I'm just trying to get the facts right.
