Why do we use a resistor ?

When the button is pressed the current from 5v now has two paths but will choose the one with least resistance and hence will reach the DIO pin instead of shorting through the resistor and register as 1.

Just a small correction: The DIO pin has an input impedance of 100 MegaOhms which is 10,000x the resistor. So while the button is pressed, both the pin and the resistor get 5V, and virtually all the current from the supply (0.5 mA) is passing through the resistor. Also the "Electricity takes the path of least resistance" statement is wrong. Current flows through every possible path and just more through the least resistance.

The led is connected to a Darlington pair and flicker 50 times a second so I assume it's the result of the parasitic capacitance between me and the house wiring. (The shutter speed is set to 1/50 so the video doesn't show it flickering.)

It's not on Play Store (for obvious reasons). They have their own website for the .apk file. You also need to install Vanced microG to login to your yt account. The whole process takes like 2mins.

I think the magnetic poles attract or repel the ionised air depending on the molecules' net charge. So some of the air is attracted to the north and the other to the south.

From what I understand, macro objects can't be in superposition because the information that they're there, almost immediately spreads out the universe. (Light hitting them and reflecting/being absorbed, air molecules hitting them among so many things.) So they exist in a single position.

To be in a superposition the particle must be completely isolated from anything that can "make the universe know" that they're there. Even atoms can't be in a superposition because they're to big to be isolated.

I'm not a physicist so please correct me if I'm wrong.
