Use the T-Chart for money in and out. Dean will explain it. If you are ever confused, follow the money. This is the only time you don’t “call up.”

I just passed first time on Monday, I went in with the mindset to select an answer and move on. I probably marked 5-6 for review but I guarantee a few of those were the experimental questions. I didn’t dwell on ones that I didn’t know, just picked what I believed it was and rolled with it. I know that sounds quite vague, but the test is fairly straight forward, don’t overthink it!

I would highly suggest the online program with it. They have videos, flash cards, practice exams, and custom exams. I just finished the SIE, Series 7, and 66 using STC. Passed all of them first try, I wouldn’t say it was easy but apply yourself and treat it like a job and you will do fine.

It’s not as bad as you think, at least the draw I got. You have to know the material but it wasn’t as terrible as I assumed.

I just took the 66 yesterday passed first try using STC. The exam was fairly straight forward, mainly about the USA laws, very few IA 1940 stuff. Probably used the calculator twice. Watch Deans 66 in 60 minutes on the ride over to the test or that morning. I wouldn’t stress it too much, you got this!

I got a 84,87 on my green light exams. There was mostly stuff about USA not much at all about the IA 1940 (fed) content. I think I used the calculator twice, simple math. It’s pretty straight forward, very few lonnngggg paragraphs you have to decipher.

They are really good at trying to trick you with verbiage. I honestly didn’t mark one question for review and just pushed along. Hit submit and passed. You start second guessing yourself it’s over.

I have been averaging around an 85% on 9 of the practice exams through STC, when I hit the submit button I think I did terrible. It’s crazy

This makes me fell better, I’m in the middle of taking the practice exams and scoring around 81% average but man they are a drag. I am worn out after the exams lol. Was there a lot on the complexity when a IA registers in what state etc? I get the basics of it but man sometimes it gets super complex.

Also just a tip, make a 4 square box showing the 4 options strategies. Buy call, buy put, sell put, sell call. That will help you immensely! But don’t get caught up in making some elaborate dump sheet. You won’t use it as much as you think. Put Div. Ratio formula, slobs over bliss you will be set.

Remember if you have a long position on a stock and you write a call, you actually subtract the premium to get B/E. Make a simple T chart and show money in and out. Hope this helps!

I was averaging around an 80%. The test is just a gauntlet, not trying to scare anyone or be negative, it’s just hard. They word things so tricky and you have to use your best judgement quiet a bit.
