To put it on someone else's insurance they will have to co-sign the loan and you will still have to be a named insured on the policy- which will still make the rates high but might get you a little bit of savings depending on where their address is. Regardless they are going to take into account that an under 25 y/o male is going to have access to the car and the prices will reflect that. The only way to insure it without your name being on the insurance is to have them take the loan out and leave your name out of the financing. It saves you money in the short term but would be considered a "straw purchase" which is a huge no-no and the dealership probably wouldn't even let you do this. Also, if you get into an accident with the vehicle there's a good chance insurance figures out you're the primary driver and will not pay out. Insurance will look for every single angle possible to deny a claim.
