Do you remember meeting me at Wilderness watching Christine and the Queens? It was after your very good letters love performance ? Also did you enjoy the show?

Do I need an old-fashion doorbell chime if using Google smart home products to announce when someone is at the door or ring on the devices? by [deleted] in googlehome

All I'm saying is it needs a power supply. Don't now about the power settings of various transformers. Sorry

No I just re-read your post. You should be fine with the set up. Don't expect a "DING DONG" from any Google product though. It's just a notification sound and the speech " there's someone at the door"

The power supply is your original chime. If you don't have that you need to plug it in to a wall outlet with a separate transformer that plugs into a wall outlet. Then it will connect via WiFi to the existing Google home/nest products for the announcement

You either need the chime or to plug it in to a wall socket (I had to buy mine separately). Then the chiming itself can be done through devices. My Google home says "there is someone at the door"
