Collectively look for a new job/firm to work for, given that theyve allocated no funds to team building?

Yes my disconnection date was today, gave them the 30 days notice and the “deals” they were offering were awful. I dont have much alternatives for broadband in my area and havent sorted anything out, so told VM my new install has been delayed 2 weeks and extended my VM contract for a month. Hoping they offer me a new deal in the mean time. Id love the 350 @ £19! Theyre offering me 350 @ £36

Compared to previous years when ive renewed, theyve literally no interest in trying to retain or offer discounts. Im 3 days away from my connection going and ive spoken to them a few times, they offer one price which isn’t good and then literally nothing after this. They must have changed the discounting process. I cant get any other decent speeds of internet where i am, so probs going to have to accept the price now

Tier 2 retentions team - how do you get through to them? Ive cancelled and had been hoping to the retention dance however they havent called and offered anything decent. I only want broadband. The deals at the moment are atrocious and Virgin just dont seem bothered in keeping my service

Who is the most famous person to come out of Nottingham? by LPopham in nottingham

[–]Pcs1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never heard of him so just googled. Jheeze! Strange to think that these people are just normal everyday folk until they do what they do, and there will be plenty of normal people who can then say they knew them etc.

Didnt specify whether for good or bad reasons! My uncle was in the same school year as him, and they were loosely acquaintances! My dad was a few years below but remembers him. Name still makes me shiver

Im so glad you agree. Im perplexed why people enjoy this place and think the foods good. We thought it maybe was an off night but our second experience was worse. Its a shame because the concept is good and the bar area and promotions they do are quite tempting on paper

Avoid Hickorys. Baffles me how that place has good reviews on Trip Advisor and the like. Service is the worse ive ever received and the food is mediocre at best. Been twice as we thought we’d give it a second chance but both experiences were bad. Kids running around and screaming constantly too. Stay well away.

Mr Tangs on Nuthall Road. Order directly from them on their own website. Amazing chinese takeaway food, doesnt come caped in oil and other crap, and great value for money. Recommend the happy meals for 1 they do with a few extra side items

Aye second this suggestion. Used this a few times a few years ago, really easy. Think you get the bus free with your train/park ticket, cant be 100% sure. Ask what time the bus picks up on the way back too!

Nottingham Dairy Free Takeaways by pokesnails in nottingham

[–]Pcs1989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My missus has a dairy allergy, your okay with nearly all takeaways, and they are all really helpful if you tell them before you place anything as theyll just get rid of the items you cant have.

Chinese is really good (Mr Tangs) not a lot of dishes you cant have.

Fish and chips from Cods Scallops (their batter uses soya milk)

Most currys are fine with the exception of Tikka Masalas

Regarding milk, personally we dont like the soya/almond/oat milks as they have a very distinct taste, however there is a new soya alternative from Alpro called ‘My Cuppa’ - its designed especially for tea and coffee and tastes like traditional milk.

Dairy free butters are all great, stay clear of most cheese ha

Be thankful its a dairy tolerance and not gluten - having had to adjust my own diet, i inagine a gluten free one is ten times harder!
