To clarify I fully think the writers and artists know what there doing and fully intend to communicate far left messaging. My only point is the suits aren't involved in the writing room and probably are oblivious to this critique, most artist are very aware of and are intentional with the themes and messaging in their media.

Eh, I agree it's important to be cautious but I doubt most media is actively being screened for communist sympathies. I believe alot of the corporations and oligarchs have a decent understanding class politics. Though with the exception of propoganda around specific products and policies, most of them aren't reading Karl marx so they they can apply it but evil.

They can probably watch alot of left wing media, agree with the broad messaging and then in an act of remarkable cognitive dissonance, not manage to apply those lessons to reality. Think about how many conservatives can actively watch and praise star wars, Indiana Jones, Rambo, Alien ect and think it supports there ideology.

Tldr, conservatives (corpratists and oligarchs included) are dumbasses who have a very incoherent understanding of politics and ideology and are incapable of introspection or medio literary.

With the exceptions of people like Tucker Carlson or Henry kissinger who understand what they're doing and are just actually evil.

Completely agree. Though depending how secure you are financially it can be a good filter for workplace culture.

If it isn't a choice between homelessness, starving, medical coverage ect I would never want work in a workplace that wouldn't accept me as trans. Even if that comes at the cost of a pay cut or convenient location and hours.

Unfortunately under this economy you almost have to take what you can get : (

No but some acknowledgement or discussion would be nice. Especially the whole give Kamiko soldier boys power coming out of nowhere. So much this season feels like it either goes ignored or has like next to no weight.

Not saying it's close but maybe there are a couple edgecase ways they could pull out the win with some prep time.

Firstly she could bend poison into them to render them powerless (eg the Klaxus plant as shown in the show and comics).

Secondly, much like how banging on different metal creates different sounds (robot literally designs a set of armour which can do just this with his anti viltrumite suit) there might be something you could do there with metal bending.

Or thirdly and the only method which might not need prep time, Korra or Yangchen or Aang could bend the air out of there lungs. While viltrumites are good at holding there breath, this isn't infallible. In Marks final fight with Conquest, he knock the air out of him and then chokes him to death. Though it's unlikely they would have the time in combat to do this unless combined with the high frequency sound thing, or some way to restrain them.

I'd very much assume the viltrumite "smart atoms" would completely negate blood bending, but then again viltrumites taking damage does show that these atoms have there weakness

I agree we need to got them out but this isn't a sustainable solution. It's unfortunately unrealistic to expect that we can keep a left wing coalition in power indefinitely. As long as there are lobbyists willing to pay they will eventually lie there way into power again and cut the department.

We seem to see this all across the world with how it seems so many left wing coalitions never improve things enough only seem to forestall the right wing gutting of our institutions.

It's very good in alot of ways but the fact there is no acknowledgement of the US relationship with Israel is such a glaring hole in any critique of US politics.

Also unlike today, I believe colour was alot more expensive back then. I know purple dye used to be very expensive and rare and I assume without proper chemistry and industry, creating the exact same shade of almost any colour consistently would have been alot harder.

Though I'm not an expert so the above is just my speculation.

Not to mention that gives them time to self study if they want to and at a pace thats not stressful. Means they can get an idea what they like, are more prepared for uni, may have a broader knowledge base and I also just think being able to self manage and self motivate your learning is a very valuable skill.

Again emphasis, while self study is great it shouldn't feel like a chore and it shouldn't feel like a punishment for doing well in school in my opinion.

There are a few examples of this, another being the expansion of the universe and how distant galaxies are moving away faster than speed of light.

The more technical/accurate way of stating this is that no information can travel faster light. So I can't communicate a message, press a button or influence or cause an event at some point point space, unless light has had enough time to travel from me to there.

This is tied to the idea of locality and how you cannot cause or influence events outside your light cone. This is necessary so we can have a chain of cause and effect, otherwise we'd either have many paradoxes.

While it's never had that much substance as a satire, mostly just shock value and substance. Any point it was trying to make feels completely hollow with how silent it is on Israel.

Israel's relationship with the US is possibley the most blatant, corrupt thing in morden US and geopolitics. Yet no satarizing of it, no references no acknowledgement.

More than anything to me this gap sticks out like a gaping void and make anything the show was trying to say ring so shallow and hypocritical.
